Chapter 35 (Alabasta Arc)

Ki slowly blinked as her vision began to focus. She ground her teeth as she forced her head up, fighting against the already hardening wax on the back of her neck. Her voice came out hoarse as she stammered, "Wh- What's going on?" She straightened and took in her surroundings, her feet were planted in a wax floor while her hands were in the same wax mits she recalled from earlier.

Vivi gasped at the raven haired woman, "Ki! You're awake!"

Nami shrieked and waved her arms wildly in the air, "Get us out of here!!"

Ki slowly raised her entombed hands and shook her head, "Can't. I don't have the ability to use my hands to form the portals."

Zoro grumbled and crossed his arms, "I've seen you make them without moving your hands before."

Ki raised an eyebrow at the swordsman and sighed, "I tap the ground with my FEET!" She gestured with her stone paws to her legs, "Which I also can't move, IF YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED!"

Zoro tilted his head with a smug grin, "So you really are useless right now, haha! How about that!"

Ki pressed her lips into a tight frown and wrenched her arms to the side, clocking the swordsman in the jaw. She shouted, "Maybe I can use your thick skull to break the wax!! We'll see who's useless then!"

Ki flailed her arms while Zoro swung his. Her block of wax smacked him in the chest and his knuckles tagged her jaw, only stoking the fire of their battle. The swordsman snarled back as he angrily pressed his forehead to Ki's, "When we get outta this, I'm kicking your ass, witch!!" Anger filled sparks exploded between the pirates as they shoved each other back and forth.

Miss Valentine tilted her head and tapped her lip, "Are those two stupid? Why are they fighting each other?"

Mister Five crossed his arms and grunted, "Well, we already know that Window Maker is one crazy woman," His stomach lurched at the thought of the loophole they had been thrown into. He swallowed and covered his mouth with his hand, "I would prefer to stay as far away from that one as humanly possible."

Mister Three chuckled maliciously, "Oh? Did the little lady hurt you? Hahaha! We took her out in no time! You two are pathetic!"

Vivi whimpered with her hands raised towards the swordsman and raven haired woman, "Please! Don't fight! We need to work together to try to escape!"

Nami's eyes widened as she stared down at her white splotchy palms, "This isn't good! I can't move my hands! Can't we do something?! I don't wanna die like this."

Vivi's voice trembled as she tried to lift her arm, "My body is already beginning to turn stiff!" Tears welled up in the princess' eyes as she sniffled, "What are we supposed to do!"

The navigator pleaded to the swordsman, "Zoro! Do something!"

Ki shoved her forehead against the swordsman's with a smug grin as she jabbed him with her wax clubbed hands, "Yeah, Zoro! Do something useful!!"

Zoro leaned away from the raven haired woman with a deep set scowl. He shifted his attention to Broggy with a grunt, "Hey, giant! You can still move, right?" Broggy gave the swordsman a curt nod and he drew one of his swords with a smirk, "Good, so can I. I say we take 'em down together! What do you think?"

Ki raised an eyebrow at the swordsman as he drew a second sword in his opposite hand. She tilted her head, "What're you-"

Nami spun her upper body in his direction and gasped, "Hold on a second! What are you doing?! Are you-"

Zoro nodded as he raised both swords at his sides, "Yeah."

The navigator screeched, "Quit messing around!! You're not gonna cut your own legs off!!"
