After checking on Aonung at Mo'at's den, seeing that he was patched up and resting, Neteyam returns to the Sully home.Jake and Neytiri are facing Ronal, Lo'ak, and now him as he walks in. Spider, Tsireya, and Rotxo are standing outside, while Tuktirey is with Wari in the guest den.
Jake- Now the discussion can begin.
With anger evident on her face, Ronal steps forward.
Ronal- You brought us here knowing there was danger, and did not think to warn us. How foolish of you, Toruk, and of your mate.
Normally Neytiri wouldn't stand to be spoken to in such a way, but doesn't react this time, not wanting to fuel Ronal's anger.
Jake- Look, there's only been some minor conflict during hunts. Tsana's rebels were just trying to intimidate us-
Lo'ak- We went on a hunt with Spider and the others today, Dad.
Jake glares at Spider looking through the entrance. The boy knew of the dangers, as did the other hunters they were with but they went anyway.
Jake- Spider should've known better than that. Had I known, I would've stopped you.
Neteyam- Why did you not just tell us?
Jake- Because I knew you'd try to get involved. Those rebels aren't a threat.
Neteyam- They attacked the village.
Jake- I didn't think they would come here like that, that was the first time it happened.
Ronal- How can a war leader be so naive? My son was hurt because of you. After I took you all in, then looked after your children in your absence, this is how you repay me?
Jake- Ronal-
Ronal- Is this your hospitality, Jake?!
Jake- Of course it's not!
Neytiri- Ronal, the last thing we wanted was for you, or your children, to be hurt.
Ronal- Then why bring us here? Why take the risk?
Neytiri- We missed our children.
Neytiri steps forward, but not threateningly.
Neytiri- We wanted to bring them home. I'm sure they've missed it.
Jake- I saw it as a good opportunity to repay your kindness, and even after what happened, I'm still glad you came.
Ronal- I suppose someone should be, but I am certainly not.
Neytiri- After the time we've showed you, how dare you-
Ronal- Your foolish actions nearly got my son killed!
The marine woman steps closer to Neytiri, defensively, making her do the same.
Neytiri- It was the actions of Tsana that nearly killed your son. Not ours.
Ronal- Coward! Blaming others for your mistakes.
Neytiri- I will not be spoken to like this in my home.
Ronal- And I will not lose another member of my family. Especially not because of your ignorance.
Neytiri snarls, and Ronal quickly returns the gesture in a more harsh manner.
Jake- Neytiri.
She holds her glaring gaze in Ronal's, then backs away to Jake's side.
Ronal- I demand for us to be taken home at sunrise.
Lo'ak- Taken home?
Neteyam- Aonung is injured. It wouldn't be good for him to travel like that.
Ronal- He is in more danger if he stays here. Tell your Tsahík to wrap his wound to last. I refuse to stay here longer.
Neteyam- Wait. We can't just leave.
Her angered gaze snaps over to him.
Ronal- And why not?
Neteyam- I have to help.
Ronal- This fight is not ours.
Neteyam- Yes it is. Think of what they did to Aonung.
Ronal- That is exactly why we should leave, before it happens to someone else.
Neteyam- I can't just leave like this, not while my people are feuding.
She steps over to him.
Ronal- Your people are the Metkayina. You are our Olo'eyktan now. These matters do not concern you.
Neteyam- But-
Ronal- We leave for Awa'atlu at daybreak. Is that clear?
He holds back a snarl from the authoritative woman, and lightly glares.
Neteyam- Crystal.
Ronal- Good. This discussion is over.
After putting her foot down, Ronal storms out of the den to return to the one she currently resides in.
Rotxo instantly follows her, and Tsireya turns to do the same, but Spider gently stops her with a hold on her hand.
Spider- Tsireya-
Tsireya- No.
She snatches her hand from his, facing him with disappointment.
Tsireya- Why didn't you think to warn us? Why would you just take us out there knowing the dangers?
Spider- We stayed within the safe perimeter-
Tsireya- You still should have said something.
She ignores his frown and leaves to join her family.
Inside the den, Jake dismisses Neteyam so he and Neytiri can discuss their next plan of action. Which greatly annoys him. He is the son of Toruk, but is now being kept out of the plans for his own people because it's no longer any of his business.
Lo'ak follows him as he storms out of the den, completely ignoring Spider and anyone else who tries to approach him.
Lo'ak- Neteyam.
Neteyam- I'm going for a ride.
Lo'ak- I'm coming with you.
Neteyam- Fine.
