After a long ride, letting off steam, the Sully boys returned to their father's den, where everyone had already turned in.

Well into the night, however, the entire family is awoken by a heart wrenching scream.

Everyone begins emerging frantically, and as another scream sounds, Neteyam recognizes who it's coming from.

Rotxo- Is that-

Neteyam- Aonung.

In less than a second, Neteyam is up on his feet, running through the waking village to his grandmother's den. Following him is Lo'ak, Rotxo, and Jake, who leave out just as Ronal emerges from her den.

As Neteyam reaches Mo'at's den, a warrior suddenly holds him back from the closed curtain entrance.

Neteyam- Get off!

He quickly shoves the man away from him, and maneuvers past another to peek in. Some of the scientists are within the den, surrounding Aonung, and a few other warriors have a hold on the marine boy who's bleeding profusely.

He's suddenly snatched from his view, and dragged back outside by the same warrior, who he now recognizes as his old friend.

Wift- Neteyam, calm down. You can't be in there.

Neteyam- What the hell is going on?! What are they doing to him?!

Lo'ak runs up with Rotxo and Jake.

Jake- What's goin on?

Drawn in by the cries coming from the den, Rotxo goes over to it, but someone blocks him from going in. He snarls at the woman, and Lo'ak pulls him away from her.

Neteyam- You better have an explanation, Wift.

Wift- He was poisoned.

Jake- By what? Wasn't it just a spear wound?

Mo'at- Yes, but it was coated in poison.

The Tsahík steps out of the den, and comes up to them.

Mo'at- I am surprised that escaped you, Neteyam.

His eyes widen a bit. How did he miss that? That's right, the blade ended up lodged in the wall. But still . . .

Mo'at- I had immediately tended to him when he arrived, and he seemed fine while he rested, but later showed great irritation in his wound. After unwrapping it, I could see the poison spreading and growing on his wounded flesh.

Jake- What the hell did they use?

Mo'at- I don't know, but I summoned these people here to help him.

Neteyam- It sounds more like they're hurting him.

His chest aches at the continued cries of pain coming from the den.

Mo'at- The only way to rid him of the poison was to help remove it manually, otherwise he wouldn't make it.

Neteyam- He'll bleed out at this rate with them proding around in his wound!

His grandmother is taken aback by him raising his voice at her, and Wift stands surprised.

Jake- Neteyam, calm down.
