Neteyam makes his way through the other returning warriors. He momentarily meets eyes with his father, but the man doesn't stop to acknowledge him.

Him, Lo'ak, and Rotxo, they've all been blamed for ruining the mission. Their rescue caused Tsana to move his base, which was already hard to find the first time.

They've been taking scouting trips, which last most of the day, but Jake can't afford to venture any farther without the risk of not being able to get back in time if the village came under attack.

Heading to the communal eating area, like most of the warriors, is Wift. Once Neteyam spots him, he wastes no time approaching and asking for information.

He pops up next to him while he's getting a plate of food, which would startle him at first, but Neteyam's behavior has become normal to him.

Neteyam- No luck again. Were there even any signs? Traces of them?

Wift- Hello to you too.

Wift heads over to a table to sit and eat, and Neteyam sticks to him like glue the entire time.

Neteyam- Ever think they may have just gone to the same place? It isn't a crazy idea, I mean, who would expect that?

Wift- We would. We've already checked.

He starts eating casually, as calm as ever while he's interrogated.

Neteyam- Has my dad mentioned anything about letting Somtra be of help? He's a great warrior.

Wift- No. He doesn't want to risk being spotted because of a marine beacon.

Neteyam- Or, he thinks since he was captured once it'll happen again.

Wift- Well, there goes my excuse.

Neteyam- I'm right, aren't I?

He momentarily stops, taking a moment to chew and swallow his food while seeing Neteyam's obvious impatience.

Wift- Yeah. Truth is, he wants Aonung. Someone who will, without a doubt, do what's expected of him. Chief's words, not mine.

Neteyam- Seriously? Why not Rotxo, he's better in the forest. Or, I don't know, his own sons.

Wift- You need to be here in case there's an attack.

Neteyam- You know that's not why we get left behind. He thinks we're a liability.

Wift- Tey.

Neteyam- I become an Olo'eyktan, and he considers me a liability!

Neteyam slams his fists onto the table with a snarl, startling the other warriors sitting there, who then stare.

Neteyam- I'll show him.

Wift- Now wait a second. Don't get any ideas.

Neteyam- Wift, shut the hell up.

The Sully boy stands from his spot and storms off, leaving his old best friend worrying over what he might do. The other warriors at the table smirk and snicker at Wift.

Pano- Nicely handled.

Ruri- Yeah, way to tame the beast.

Wift- Oh shut up.
