The next morning finninck woke up to Avery's curls tickling his nose, their bodies still tangled under the sheets.

He hadn't had a single nightmare, not even a dream at all. That seems to just be this girls affect on him.

Then as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes. He remembered the night before fully, and a smile crept onto his face.

She had given him one thing the capital can never take from him. Now he just needed to figure out how to get her through this.

"Aves" he said shaking her lightly.

"Hmm?" she mumbled as she buried her face into his neck further ticking him.

His laugh then woke her up more, and she shot up looking at him. Before blushing bright red and pulling the sheet further up her chest.
Chuckling again he sat up on his elbows and smiled up at her,

"woah, hey still the same finnick I was yesterday Aves. Calm down."

Nodding slightly at him, she then got a devious look on her face and with a smile she said.

"Well I'm NOT the same Avery as yesterday..." Pausing for dramatic affect she then added,

"I'm better."  then sending him a wink, making the boy burst out laughing.

"Okay better Avery, I'm gonna go back to my room and get changed for the day. You should shower and then come down to breakfast so we can get down to business." He said getting up and finding his clothes.

"I thought we already did that?" she said stifling her laugh with the blankets as she watched him straightening his back in surprise.

"Shut it Aves, you know what I meant." He said grabbing his shirt and trowing it over his shoulder. Still chuckling on his way to the door.

"Okay I'll be out in a few." She said trying and failing to not stare at his bare back.

When she made it to the dining car, Jasper was firing questions to Mags a mile a minute.

She met eyes with finnick who was standing at the counter with a steaming cup of coffee in his hand.

She started blushing furiously when he sent her a wink, before moving to sit next to Mags.

After eating half of her food and litening to Finnick and Mags' run down of what to expect once they arrive, and how to act to best showcase each of their personalites.

To best sell their 'image' to the people of the capital. Avery silently decided to herself a blueberry bagel with cream cheese might have actually been sent from the heavens.

Then liberty came in and ruined her internal happy dance.

"Well my tributes, we'll be in the capital in a matter of hours! And then it's off to meet your stylests. How exciting is this? You'll be all spruced up and beautiful!"

Avery put on her best capital impression immediately.

"Oh superb!" She said to the colorful woman before turning back to Finnick and Mags,

"We'll be abSOlutely spiffing."  She said wiggling her eyebrows.

Finnck snorted before covering his smile with his hand and Jasper not even trying to hold back gave a deep belly laugh at her ridiculousness.

Looking back to the woman she added

"I'm sure we'll look dressed to kill." Giving her a wink before taking the other half of her bagel to go.

She could hear Liberty's hushed voice on her way to the door.

"Is she serious?" She asked making Finnick laugh again.

"Humor is her coping method, when she's stressed."

Hearing a knock on her door an hour and a half later she opened it to see Mags.

"Come little Dove. We're arriving in just a moment. You should wave at the people, make them love you like I do." she said.

Stroking her cheek in a motherly manner before walking back to the lounge room.

After waving and smiling so much her face hurt. Avery was rushed into a room and told to strip and her prep team would be right with her.

Once they arrived she realized Liberty's colorful appearance held no candle to the wackos that made up her prep team.

Odes had bright green skin and flaming red hair. Valery looked like her eyes were a size to big, like a child's doll.. and Nezzi had hair done up like a birds cage with what appeared to be real chirping birds in it.

They fussed over her for about 3 hours stripping her of every hair not on her head, lathering her raw skin afterwards.

Then doing her nails a sparkling pail blue color, matching the sparkling blue eye shadow, and matte pale pink lipstick.

False eyelashes were added making her green eyes pop. But all Avery could think the entire time was, do these people ever stop talking? When they would speak to her she was lucky to get a yes, no, or mhmm, in before the started talking over her head again.

After finishing her hair they then left her waiting in the room for her stylest. Looking in the mirror the hairspray they had used to perfect her red curls had sparkles as well..

If this was her stylest a man with the name Marcel's idea Avery hoped it was his attempt to blind the capital citizens.

The thought made Avery laugh to herself while she waited for the man himself to bring her her outfit.
