After spending hours with her prep team again, and listening to them twitter like birds around her, only speaking when they'd directly talk to her. Avery was so thankful for the moment of silence.
Her body felt raw, like she'd lost another five layers of skin. Even though she really hadnt gotten dirty since stepping off the chariot, the last time she saw them.
Avery sat in her robe waiting for Marcel to come bring her the outfit for her interview.Glancing around at all the many different perfumes, make ups, dyes, and body glitter. The capital really did go overboard for beauty she thought to herself, while picking up a glow in the dark hair spray from in front of her.
Her red hair was half up half down in ringlets, two pieces of her bangs framing her face.
Her makeup was done with shimmering gold eyeshadow and dark eyeliner and mascara, making her eyes look almost violently green.
On her lips was a dark red matte lipstick. Her nails were done an ombre of colors looking like a sunset. Over all Avery thought she looked stunning.
"Well my dear, we're going with a slightly different look this time around." Marcel said walking in with a garment bag over his arm.
"Well the last dress you put me in was beautiful. So I trust that this one will be just as fantastic, if not more so." Avery said looking at the man standing in an emerald green suit this time.
"Well those striking eyes of yours had me inspired. As you may be able to tell by my choice of suit this evening." He said opening his arms and turning for the girl.
"I think you look dashing Marcel."
"I won't hold a candle to you dearie." He said, as he unzipped the bag to reveal her dress.
The bottom of the dress was a shimmering dark blue that looked like calm waters. Then it faded up until it hit whute right below a nude tie around her waist to look like a sandy beach. The chest piece was colored just like her nails in pinks and oranges and reds to look like a beautiful sunset.
"Wow Marcel.. it's absolutely breathtaking!" Avery gasped running her fingers down the cool fabric.
"Ah you flatter me young one. But the dress is just an accessory, only there to compliment the beauty you already possess." He said patting her cheek.
"Now come, come! You put it on and I will grab your shoes."
Once she was dressed Marcel came over with a simple pair of dark flats. Zipping her up after setting then in front of her.
"Since the dress hits the floor I thought I would take it easy on you tonight, so no heels... I'm sure most of the other girls will have them, and who wants to be like everyone else anyway. " He said kneeling down to put them on her.
"Thank you Marcel, truly. I don't think I could have asked for a better stylest, and friend here."
"Oh hush that beautiful face of yours, before you make me cry." He said wiping away fake tears.
In the audience Finnick was sat with a client. He was very thankful that this was not a sexual engagement.
This client just wanted to be seen with him on her arm, and he would be allowed to leave after all the interviews were over. To take care of his tributes before the games in the morning.
He couldn't really focus on the first few interviews due to the woman constantly whispering in he ear, occasionally kissing it and giggling to herself.
