After that night, the months seemed to fly by.

Avery was spending more time with Finnick.  Not because she was necessarily trying to. Rather because when she and Finnick would strike up a conversation, Caspian would take the opportunity to conveniently make himself dissappear.

One day as she was getting ready to walk out the door she turned and said,

"Hey Fin, do me a favor?"

"Yeah sure Aves what?"

"Tell your brother, I'm going to go over to Annie's if he keeps disappearing on me."  She said sending him an innocent smile as she closed to door behind her.

Without turning around finnick called up the stairs, with a smirk on his face.

"You heard that, right little brother?"

"Oh yeah... I'm a dead man." Caspians voice sounded from above him.

Shaking his head with a smile and turning to walk up to his room Finnick stopped at his door when he heared his brother again.

"Hey Fin, do ME a favor?"  Caspian said still sitting by the banister when he had been listening.

"If I don't come back from making cookies with her tomorrow. Don't eat the cookies...."

A few weeks later Finnick was resting on the couch. The nightmares the previous evening were particularly bad.

He was just about to fall asleep when Caspian popped his head over the back of the couch directly above his head.

"Ya know Fin the tree in the back yard is pretty easy to climb." He said giving his brother a cheeky smile.

"So?" Finnick asked confused.

"Well Avery is coming over later to go swimming so I thought you'd like to know." His grin widening.

Sitting up now with his arm on the back of the couch Finnick squinted his eyes at his brother.

"What does Avery coming over to swim have to do with the damn tree?" He asked again.

"Well I just thought you might want to go sit up there with her.." At finnicks blank stare Caspian started making kissing noises in his brother face.

At that Finnick shot up off the couch jumping over the back of the couch to chase his brother.

Laughing like a maniac, Caspian ran in circles around the house signing

"Finnick and Avery sitting in a tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g!"

while Finnick chased him telling him to shut it repeatedly.

He was thankful Fin was almost asleep when this started or he surely would have caught him by now.

They continued this Finnick, just barely missing his brothers shirt when they stopped on opposite sides of the kitchen table.

"Cas I swear when I catch you-"

Finnick didn't get to finish his threat when both boys heard Avery's knock at the front door. The knock only the three use.

Finnick's eyes widening at his brothers borderline evil smile.

"Cas" funnick said putting his hands up in surrender, knowing Cas was closer to the door.

"Cas don't!" Finnick pleaded worried of what his brother would say to the redhead waiting on their porch.

"Sorry not sorry dear brother!" Caspian hollered making a break for the front door.
