Chapter 18: How about Ace?

Efficiency rate.

The skills can be classified into different tiers and ranks but the main factor that differentiate between skills is efficiency rate. If a low ranked sword skill has a higher efficiency rate than compared to a High ranked sword slash. Low ranked sword slash will probably do higher damage.

And to increase efficiency rate is just to repeat such actions again and again.

Aria's pov.

~Knock knock
Suddenly, I heard a knock on the window. Maybe I'm imagining things, I'm on the second floor of the mansion.

~Knock knock

'No there is definitely someone knocking on the window. Should I call someone? Well at least I can remove the curtains first.

As she removed the curtains, she saw Hunter and Sky who were just hanging on the window.

" Oh god,.... What are you guys doing here?"

"Can we come in first, my hands are gonna give up any second."

~Phewww....

"Can I ask you guys what are you doing?"

"Long story short, I ran away from the mansion and the Head maid was looking for me.So this was the only escape I could think of."

"But aren't you sick? Why did you do something so reckless? Won't you get in trouble or what if something happens won't your parents be sad and troubled."

"You worry to much"
" Still what excuse are you gonna use now?"

"Young lady! We have already prepared an excuse."

Sky pulls the pup out from the blanket she used to cover it.

"Here is our excuse, We will say we came to visit your injured pet dog that you brought with you."

"Haaa..... Who is this little fellow? What is its name?"

"My lady! We haven't decided on the name yet."
" Well I did though."
" No tail is not a good name for him, Young lord!"
" But I thought it was clever."

" How about Ace?".
Woof woof.

"Hehehe it looks like he loved that name."

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door.

Hunter's pov.

"My lady, It's me Rose."

"Co-Come in". I guess she still feels weird to act like a noble lady. Well I know the reason behind it.

"Yes my lady. My lady it seems Madam Head........"

She stopped mid sentence when she saw us three sitting on the sofa.

"Pardon me. The head maid sent me to ask you about the Young lord's whereabouts. What do you want me to say to Madam Head maid?"

"Please tell her that he was in my room to visit my injured pet dog, Ace. Tell them not to worry too much."

"Yes My lady. Then please excuse me." She left after giving Sky a quick glance.

"Thanks Aria. Now that this thing is sorted out. I will be taking my leave."

As we were about to leave. She stopped us asking,

"What about Ace?".

"What? He is your friend now.That is my gift for you."

"But I never asked for it?"

" But you like it, right? That's all that matters after all. See you later."
"Thank you once again My lady."

She squeezed the Pup in her arms hard due to Excitement and shyness until Ace started to cry.

"Oh god, I'm sorry. Are you fine?"
But Ace just licked Aria's hands to ensure he was fine."

"Ah, so cute."

~In the corridor, Hunter and Sky were walking.

"My lord, did you intentionally leave Ace behind in the care of Aria or was it just a coincidence?"

"Whatever fits your imagination will work fine with me."

"I see."

Well I can't trust Sky fully. Not right now.
I did think of bringing a gift for Aria when I visited the town but what could be a better gift for her than a bodyguard.
But I didn't know She had the required skill.

~Few minutes earlier.

"How about Ace?".

Suddenly a message popped up.

A contract has been formed.

Aaria Elizabeth Jaden is now Tamer of Ace.
