Chapter 40: Want to believe in you

~In the Evening.

When I was returning to my bedroom after I read some books in the library. I felt like someone again has started to control my body. By now, I know whose work this is. Suddenly I was jumping out of the window leaving Rose behind stunned and scared.
“I will be back. Don't wait for me. You are free for today Rose!”
“Huh!! Aa…. Yeah-ah. O-okay”.

My body moved towards a small cabin, which was present behind the main mansion, right beside an empty well. As soon as I entered the cabinet, Sky was waiting for me.
“My lord! Are you not afraid of what I might do to you?”
“Well yes I am.”
“Then why didn't you bring anyone with you? I heard about those two today and by the look of them, they do have some potential.”
“Sky! You were avoiding me for a week now. Can you at least tell me what happened?” I came straight to the point because I knew what her answer was gonna be.
“It's not the right time now.”
“I figured.”
“You are not gonna pesture about it?”
“Sky! Even though you are still mysterious and have a lot of things that I don't know about, one thing is clear. You have saved me twice and I don't have anyone on my side. So that's why I want to believe in you.”
“Hahahahahaha…… haaaaaa You are cute aren't you, My lord.” She laughed so hard that tears came into her eyes.
“Sky!! Please train me.” She stopped laughing as she listened to my request, then she suddenly spoke,
“Why should I?”
“So that next time, I can at least defend myself.”
“Ohh I thought you were gonna say that you want to become a hero or something.”
“That comes later, first I need strength to at least protect myself so that I won't be a burden to anyone else.”
“What's in it for me though?”.
“I will do anything for you in future, Sky Beatrice!”
Sky, shocked as she heard her surname, because on papers her surname was Brittney. No one was supposed to know her real name.
“Haaa…… was that also your blessing?”
“Yes!”
“Ohh!! My lord, no more secrecy.”
“Sky! please!” I pleaded for a while before she agreed to train me. But she did give me the warning that I would regret my decision.

~Sky’s pov.

Well I'm glad that boy didn't ask me any more questions but his behavior, It doesn’t match from when I came here a month ago. He threw a fork on my first day. What has happened to the boy has changed so much in just two weeks.
~Sigh…. Luke and Laura. Was this what you wanted? I don't know anymore. Well I agreed to the boy's request. He did get some pretty handful Blessings.
Still All these years and I'm still pretty easy going huh.I can't believe Duke sent his son intentionally to the city knowing that I will protect the kid and solve both issues for him.Guess I really do resemble my father. Hehehe.
Sky as she remembered her family got a little emotional.Her facial expression shows the hint of sadness as her eyes started to fill. The dark veil of night started to cover the cabin as we could only hear the crying and sniffling sounds leaving from the cabin.
