Chapter 26: Lapras City of Arts (3)

After resting for an hour, we departed for the Vault of Duchy, or rather Museum. I wasn't expecting too much from it. After a 15 minute carriage ride we reached our destination.

There was a mid-forties person waiting for us at the entrance of the museum. Two men in their mid twenties and a woman of the same age were at the reception accompanying him.

As soon as we exited the Carriage. The man in his mid forties walked towards me and greeted me.

"Good afternoon, Young lord Hunter. I'm the mayor of this city, Baron Celtic Brady Lapras and I will give you a tour of the museum. This gentleman here is in-charge of the vault. He will give you a full tour of the vault."

The person's appearance he pointed out had a brown skin tone and light yellowish highlights at white colored hair and yellow eyes. The person behind him was Ginger head and the woman had orange hair and eyes with tattoos on her neck and arms, that could be seen.

"I see, thank you for your time. But mayor Baron Celric, aren't you busy managing the city? I don't think you have time for this."

"Hohohoho, you don't have to worry about too much. Even though it's one of the bigger cities of the kingdom, it is one of the lowest crime rate cities you could ever find.So there isn't much work for me to do. And my lord! Attending to importants guests is also my job."

'Well he has a point. I noticed that not many people here carried their weapons with them. Even the Town of Hiwa, which had twenth of the population. I could see people had some kind of armor or weapons.'

" Mayor Baron Lapras had tight security around the city. That's why most people feel secure and crime rates are low. Most of the city budget goes into defense and protection as you can see." The man standing beside the baron spoke.

"I see. But you haven't introduced yourself before speaking?" James replied

"My apologies, my lord. I spoke out of turn. I'm Paul Alexander. The people beside me are Owen Wilson and Cotton Wendy."

They both bowed their heads to show the sign of respect. I still feel awkward seeing people older than me Bowing before me. I will get better in time, don't worry too much.

"Shall we enter the vault, Mayor Baron Lapras." James rudely asked.

Oye James he is five times older than you. Where are your manners, boy. Even if I add both ages, I'm still Younger than him. Can't you speak politely.

"It seems we are taking too much time in greetings. Well, let's not waste any more time and let us enter."

'As soon as we climbed the stairs and entered the gates, I just thought of one thing. It's huge. I can see all the different kinds of sculptures around here.'

'There was a statue that was similar to Venus of Willendorf ,Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Ecstasy of Saint Teresa and paintings of different artists. Utensils, furniture, clay dolls and many more things that were either made or used by legendary and historic people of the past.'

'This will be Heaven for a Museumgoer. I mean there is so much to look through. Let's focus on one thing at first.'

"Young lord, I hope you enjoy your work here. I have some urgent work to do so I will be taking my leave." Mayor suddenly spoke behind me.

"Sure! No problem!" I was so immersed in the scenery that I didn't even look behind. The mayor and Cotton leave after saying their greetings.

'I told my guards that they can enjoy themselves in the museum also.'

"There is a bar in the corner, would you like to visit." Wilson asked on which Jake agreed whereas our Owen said he needed to go check the perimeters of the vault. Hens, the archer, decided to stay with me.

Now I'm accompanied by James, Paul and Hens. I'm glad that the crowd was dispersed. Now let's try using my skills.

ODIN'S EYE.

"Are you really joking with me?"

"What happened, Young lord?" Paul worriedly asked.

"No it's nothing. I just remembered something else."
