The sun shone brightly as Peter and MJ lounged on the couch, their feet propped up on the coffee table. It had been a whirlwind couple of weeks since their wedding, and with school officially closed for the next two weeks due to unexpected renovations, the couple found themselves with ample free time.
“Can you believe we actually did it?” MJ asked, her eyes sparkling as she leaned against Peter. “We’re married!”
“I know! It still feels surreal,” Peter replied, a wide grin spreading across his face. “But now we actually have the time to celebrate it properly.”
“Exactly! We should make this honeymoon special,” MJ said, her enthusiasm infectious. “What do you think? Somewhere tropical, or maybe we can explore a big city?”
Peter pondered for a moment, considering the possibilities. “How about a mix of both? We could spend a few days at a beach resort and then head to the city for some sightseeing and adventures.”
MJ’s eyes lit up at the idea. “That sounds perfect! I’ve always wanted to see the beach at sunset and explore the city together. It’ll be an adventure!”
“Okay, let’s do it!” Peter agreed, feeling a rush of excitement. “I’ll talk to my dad and see if he can help us get everything sorted out.”
“Great! While you do that, I’ll look up some beach destinations,” MJ said, already pulling out her phone to start planning.
With a plan set in motion, Peter headed to his room, where he quickly dialed Tony. After a few rings, his dad picked up. “Hey, Peter! What’s up?”
“Hey, Dad! MJ and I want to take our honeymoon now that we have these two weeks off from school. We were thinking about a beach resort followed by a trip to the city. Can you help us find a place?”
“Of course! I’ll pull some strings and find you a great resort. How about Hawaii? Beautiful beaches, great food, and plenty to do,” Tony suggested.
“Wow, that sounds amazing! But I don’t want to be a bother—”
“Nonsense! You’re my son, and you deserve a great honeymoon,” Tony insisted. “I’ll make sure everything is set up. Just focus on having fun.”
Peter couldn’t help but smile. “Thanks, Dad! You’re the best.”
“Just don’t forget to take lots of pictures. I want to see all the fun you two have,” Tony said, and Peter could hear the smile in his voice.
After hanging up, Peter returned to the living room, where MJ was scrolling through a list of potential resorts. “Dad is on it! We might be heading to Hawaii!”
“Seriously? That’s incredible!” MJ exclaimed, her excitement palpable. “I can’t wait! We can go swimming, enjoy the beaches, and explore together. Just the two of us.”
They spent the next hour bouncing ideas off each other, imagining all the activities they wanted to do: snorkeling, surfing lessons, sunset dinners on the beach, and wandering through local markets.
As the evening approached, Peter received a message from his dad, confirming the reservation for a beautiful beachfront resort. “Looks like we’re all set for tomorrow!” he announced, beaming at MJ.
“Tomorrow? That’s so soon! I need to pack!” MJ exclaimed, her eyes wide with excitement.
“We’ve got this!” Peter said, determination in his voice. “Let’s make it the best honeymoon ever.”
After a flurry of packing and preparing, the couple fell into bed, exhausted yet exhilarated. “Can you believe we’re actually doing this?” MJ murmured, snuggling closer to Peter.
