Peter's life had been a whirlwind of change recently, from revealing himself as the son of Tony and Steve to the public, to keeping his marriage to MJ a secret. But nothing could have prepared him for the dread that gripped him now. His phone buzzed with an unknown number, and the voice on the other end sent ice through his veins.
“We’ve got your wife, sister, and friend. You have two hours, or you’ll never see them again.”
Peter’s heart dropped. MJ, Morgan, and Harley—they had been kidnapped because of him, because someone wanted Spider-Man.
“Who are you?” Peter demanded, his voice barely containing his panic. He tried to keep calm, tried to think of a plan, but all he could hear was the sound of the kidnapper’s voice.
“You know who we are, Spider-Man. We want you. And we know that your family and friends know who you really are. So come alone. No Avengers, no Iron Man, or this gets very messy.”
The line went dead, leaving Peter in silence. He stood frozen for a moment, the weight of the situation crushing him. How had he let this happen? He was Spider-Man, but even with all his powers, he felt powerless in the face of this threat.
Without wasting another second, Peter immediately activated his suit’s AI, Karen.
“Karen, I need a trace on that call—now.”
“Tracing the location... I’ve got a signal, Peter. Sending coordinates to your HUD,” Karen responded.
Peter didn’t wait. His suit enveloped his body as he swung out of the window, his heart racing with a mixture of fear and fury. He was going to get them back, no matter what.

The location was a dimly lit warehouse, classic villain lair style. Peter perched on the edge of the building across from it, scanning the area. His spider-sense tingled at the base of his neck—there were hostiles inside, heavily armed, waiting for him. But none of that mattered. All he could think about was MJ, Morgan, and Harley. He had to save them.
“They don’t know what’s coming,” Peter muttered under his breath as he leaped into action, quietly taking out a few guards stationed around the perimeter.
Moving through the shadows, he made his way inside the warehouse, carefully avoiding detection. But as he crept forward, his spider-sense flared, giving him just enough warning to dodge a bullet aimed at his head.
“I knew you’d come, Spider-Man.”
The voice was grating, and Peter looked up to see a man standing in the middle of the room, flanked by a dozen armed goons. In the corner, tied up but unharmed, were MJ, Morgan, and Harley. Peter’s blood boiled seeing them there—helpless because of him.
“You really think kidnapping my family was the way to get to me?” Peter asked, his voice sharp as he stepped into the light. “Big mistake.”
The leader smirked. “We know you won’t let them get hurt. You’re too soft. All we want is your identity, Spider-Man, and this all ends.”
Peter clenched his fists, his heart pounding. “I’m not giving you anything.” His eyes darted toward MJ and Morgan. Their eyes met, and he could see the fear and determination in MJ’s face. Morgan, though scared, was trying to stay strong. Harley had a defiant look in his eyes, but Peter could tell he was hurt.
“Fine,” the leader said, raising his hand. “Then say goodbye—”
Before he could finish, Peter leaped into action, webbing the gun out of the leader’s hand and knocking him down with a swift kick to the chest. Chaos erupted in the warehouse as the armed goons opened fire, but Peter was faster than they could have anticipated.
He swung across the room, disarming them one by one, webbing their weapons to the ceiling as he moved like a blur. His spider-sense kept him one step ahead, dodging bullets and attacks with ease. Within minutes, the warehouse was filled with unconscious thugs, webbed up and dangling from the rafters.
Peter landed in front of the leader, his fists clenched. “You’re done,” he growled, his voice low. He wasn’t going to let anyone hurt the people he loved.
The leader scrambled backward, reaching for a hidden weapon, but Peter webbed his hand to the floor before he could move. “Game over.”
With the immediate threat neutralized, Peter rushed to MJ, Morgan, and Harley, quickly freeing them from their restraints.
“Are you guys okay?” Peter asked, his voice thick with worry.
MJ nodded, though her hands were shaking. “We’re okay. Peter… you came just in time.”
Morgan threw her arms around Peter, hugging him tightly. “I knew you’d save us, Peter.”
Harley, though still shaken, gave Peter a small smile. “Nice timing, Parker. You really know how to make an entrance.”
Peter smiled weakly, but inside, he was still shaken. He had saved them this time, but what about the next? His double life as Spider-Man was putting the people he loved in danger, and he couldn’t bear the thought of losing any of them.
As they made their way out of the warehouse, Karen chimed in his ear. “Tony and Steve have been alerted, Peter. They’re on their way.”
Peter sighed. Of course, his dads would find out. There was no way he could keep something like this a secret. And though he dreaded the inevitable conversation, he was just grateful that MJ, Morgan, and Harley were safe.

Back at Stark Tower, Peter stood in front of Tony and Steve, explaining everything that had happened. They listened quietly, their expressions a mix of concern and anger.
“I told you, Pete,” Tony said, his voice low and serious. “Keeping your identity a secret is what keeps them safe.”
“I know,” Peter said, his voice breaking slightly. “But they targeted them because of me. What if I’m not around next time?”
Steve stepped forward, placing a hand on Peter’s shoulder. “We’ll deal with it together, Peter. You’re not alone in this. We’ll increase security, make sure MJ, Morgan, and Harley are protected at all times.”
Peter nodded, grateful for their support, but still feeling the weight of the responsibility on his shoulders. He was Spider-Man, and that came with risks—risks that were now more real than ever.
Later that night, as Peter sat with MJ on the couch, her head resting on his shoulder, he realized that no matter how dangerous things got, he couldn’t walk away from being Spider-Man. It was who he was. But he also knew that he had to be smarter, to protect the people he loved at all costs.
“I’m sorry,” Peter whispered, his voice barely audible. “I’ll make sure this never happens again.”
MJ looked up at him, her eyes soft but fierce. “Peter, we knew the risks when we decided to be together. I’m not going anywhere. And neither are you. We’ll get through this, just like we always do.”
Peter smiled, feeling the strength of her words. No matter what, they would face the future together. And he would do whatever it took to keep his family safe.
