Two weeks had flown by, and school was back in full swing. Peter and Ned stood near their lockers, laughing and chatting as they pulled out their books for their final class of the day. Everything felt normal—until it wasn’t.
Suddenly, a forceful shove sent Peter sprawling into the lockers, his books crashing to the floor. He looked up and saw Flash standing there, a smug grin plastered on his face.
“Oops, didn’t see you there, Parker,” Flash sneered, his voice dripping with fake innocence.
Ned stepped forward, his eyes narrowing at Flash. “Leave him alone, Flash. What’s your problem?”
Flash turned his attention to Ned, rolling his eyes. “Look at this, the loser brigade sticking up for each other. What are you gonna do about it, Leeds? Call your mommy?”
Ned clenched his fists, ready to retort, but Peter felt his anger bubbling beneath the surface. Watching Flash insult Ned stirred something in him, something he had been trying to keep under control. His heartbeat quickened, and before he could think twice, Peter stepped forward and shoved Flash back, harder than he intended.
Flash stumbled, caught off guard by Peter’s sudden strength. “What the hell, Parker?” he shouted, clearly not expecting Peter to fight back.
Peter, breathing heavily, glared at Flash for a brief second before turning on his heel and walking away. He didn’t trust himself to say anything else without losing control. His senses were heightened, his frustration palpable, and he knew he needed to cool off. Thankfully, the school day was over, and he couldn’t wait to get out of there.
As he reached the parking lot, Peter spotted the familiar black SUV waiting for him, Harley, and MJ. Without a word, he slipped inside, sinking into the back seat, trying to calm the storm raging inside him. He stared out the window, his mind racing as he waited for the others.
A few minutes later, MJ and Harley appeared, talking animatedly as they approached the car. Morgan trailed behind them, waving at Peter when she noticed him already inside.
“You okay?” MJ asked as she slid into the seat next to him, sensing something was off.
Peter forced a small smile and nodded. “Yeah, I’m fine. Let’s just get home.”
The ride back to Stark Industries was quiet, with the others discussing their day while Peter stayed lost in his thoughts. He kept replaying the scene with Flash in his mind. For so long, he had tried to keep a low profile, to avoid drawing too much attention to himself. But now, everything felt different. The bullying, the insults—he was done with it.
When they finally arrived home, Peter felt a sense of relief. The familiar surroundings of Stark Tower grounded him, but there was something he needed to say, something he had been thinking about for a while. He walked purposefully into the main living area, where Tony was working on a holographic display with Steve standing nearby, and the rest of the Avengers were scattered around the room.
“Dad, I need to talk to you,” Peter said, his voice firm.
Tony turned, raising an eyebrow at the tone in Peter’s voice. “What’s up, kid?”
Peter took a deep breath, feeling the weight of what he was about to say. “I think it’s time for me to go public.”
The room fell silent. Tony blinked in surprise, clearly not expecting this. “Public? You mean—?”
Peter nodded. “Yeah, I want people to know who I really am. I’m tired of hiding, tired of pretending to be someone I’m not. It’s time for me to come forward as your son. The world should know I’m a Stark.”
