9|| Late Night Shows

It was a pretty good day- well the last parts. I got to now April O'Neil and about her dad and aliens and ya. At least she has a dad now. But I guess we have some in common about losing them. Only, I never got mine back. But we both also lost our mother. Yup. Life is kinda tough sometimes.

April and Casey left already- Casey with a head injury so we didn't talk much. And I think I'm okay with that. :)

But now the boys are getting me some spare pillows and blankets so I can sleep temporarily in the extra room.

I don't even know how long temporarily will last.

We said our good nights to each other and parted to our bedrooms. I lay down on the thick mat, trying to sleep. I tossed and turned. I tried counting sheep. I even tried counting pizza. But that made me more awake. I groaned and sat up.

In my home, when we couldn't sleep, we would watch some T.V. together.

My heart clenched. We could never do those things again, well not together anymore.

I sighed got up, blanket in hand, my bare feet padding down into the main living area.

I sat down on the floor and grabbed the remote. As I flipped all the channels, everything was boring.

Typical. I always found TV boring.

But then one show caught my attention.

Space Heroes. Huh. Can't hurt to give it try.

I was perplexed by just the opening song. Captain Ryan was awesome!

In my fangirling, I didn't notice a body plop down next to me.

"Can't sleep?"

I yelped. "Aah!" I looked at the blue masked terrapin next to me. My heart fluttered when my eyes locked with his.

"God Leo please don't do that again."

He chuckled. "Do you want some?" he said holding out some popcorn.

I nodded and reached in, taking a handful and quietly munching on the food, chewing blankly.

That's when he saw what was on the screen.

"You like Space Heroes?!"

"Huh? Well ya I never watched T.V. and this was the only show that caught my eye." I said quietly.

Wow, someone else who like Space Heroes. I wonder if she likes Captain Ryan.

I was about to ask her that when I looked at her and I stopped. Her black curly hair was covering her face, so you couldn't see her face. She looked...sad.

"You okay?"

"Ya,"'she whispered.

I could tell she wasn't alright. I could tell when people were feeling strong emotions. Heck, I sometimes even knew what Raph was feeling. Not always, because we was a hot head, but sometimes.

I put my finger under chin, lifting it and turning her head toward me.

"What's wrong, Lotus? You can tell me. I won't think any less of you." I said, giving her a warm smile. It was true. She was strong, emotionally and physically-well for a person who isn't trained. Give her a cooking pot and watch out, Casey.

"It's just that- I don't think I'll be able to save my brother. I want to, but what if I'm not strong enough? I'm so lost. Master Splinter says he'll train me, but I want something more. I'm so lost."

My heart sympathized. We were the same, in a way. We both wanted to protect our family, except she already lost one.

"Don't forget, my brothers will be there. But if you want I can train you. But I'm not gonna go easy on you."

"Really?!"

"Yep. As long as you don't quit."

"Please Leo, I'm a competitive swimmer, I think I can handle ninja training," she teased, already feelings better.

Then she looked at me funny. Admiration. Gratitude. And something I couldn't tell. Then she leaned in. I stiffened.

Her lips came closer to my face, and then hesitated before.......................... placing a kiss on my cheek. I blushed profusely. I have and never been kissed on the cheek by a girl, until now.

"Thank you Leo."

"It's what heroes do, Lotus."

She happily sighed, and put her head on my shoulder.

We watched Space Heroes contently until she yawned, and started to close her eyes.

"Captain Ryan is an awesome hero. Just like you, Leo."

"My hero."

I smiled.

I feel something strange when I'm next to Leo. My stomach turns. I feel....happy. He's so awesome, even though I barely know him.

Captain Ryan is such an awesome hero. Just like you Leo.

My Hero.

Little did I know was that I was talking aloud. The last thing I saw was Leo smiling. Then I passed out.

Okayyy, new update! I kinda liked this chapter. What lotus feeling? L-O-V-E!!!! Btw that pic isn't mine, but it matches perfectly with this chapter! I can't wait to wrote chapters when their training TOGETHER! ;)
