"You are insane to think that I would have left you to drown in the ocean."

"But your friend seems to be disappointed to see me come out alive"

You smile at Jack's teasing as you hand him a towel to dry off.

"Robert is not my friend after what he has done."

"So, you like me more than him." Jack asserts proudly.

"No, but he tried to kill and that is a red flag, don't you think?"

You shake your head, still reeling from the shock of Robert's actions.

"I can't believe he would do something so horrible, to try to kill someone in cold blood like that, especially if that someone is..."

You trail off remembering that Jack is the one who saves Robert.

Guess who won't be saved in the future?

Jack wraps the towel around his shoulders, his wet clothes clinging to his slim frame.

"He must have been really jealous and possessive of you. Crazy man."

"I want to tell you something important but I don't know if you would believe me or not."

Jack looks back at you with an encouraging smile.

"Of course I would believe you, tell me what is on your mind."

"This ship is going to sink, I want you to take one of the lifeboats and leave before this happens." you confess.

Jack's eyes grows big, not knowing how to react to your words.

But the look on your face doesn't indicate any trickery of any sort.

"I believe you but if I can ask, how do you know that the ship is going to sink?"

"This isn't important now, you need to save yourself, ok?"  

"Aren't you going to come with me?" Jack asks curiously.

"No, I will go on my way, don't worry about me right now, Jack, I'm going to speak with the Captain."

"But he might not believe you and would think you are insane."

You give Jack a reassuring smile, though worry still clouds your eyes.

"I have to try. The Captain needs to know the truth, no matter how unbelievable it may seem. But you..."

You place a hand on his shoulder.

"You need to get to safety, Jack. I won't be able to forgive myself if anything happens to you because I didn't insist you leave."

Jack bites his lip, clearly torn. He wants to stay by your side, but he knows you're right. With a heavy sigh, he nods.

"Alright, I'll go," Jack says reluctantly, his brow furrowed with concern.

"But promise me you'll find a way to get yourself to safety too, I want us to meet again."

"If God wills." you say, not knowing if you are going to return back to the 'Titanic' universe or not.

He squeezes your hand tightly.

"Promise me now (Y/n), and never let go of that promise."

You stare at Jack in disbelief before playfully rolling your eyes.

"Jack, we just met yesterday, you barely know me for you to ask such a thing from me." you point out.

"What can I say, a man could only hope to meet a kind beautiful woman again."

You press your lips tightly against each other to hide your smile.

Jack is such a smooth talker.

"I suppose so."

Suddenly the transportation device starts heating up in your pocket causing you to sign.

"Take care, I have to go now, bye."

Jack wanted to give farewell kiss, but instead you give him a quick one.

Coming to think of it, it would be a pity not to have such a romantic moment with the protagonist.

"If we ever meet again, you better not talk about the kiss."
