Ashton walked beside Calum the rest of the day. Exploring and seeing a few behind the scene things he's missed in the past.
Calum being the animal expert pointed out everything to Ashton along the trail.
"Didn't your break end, like, five hours ago?" Ashton pondered, grinning widely at the raven hair boy.
"It was my shift that ended, buttercup."
"Buttercup?"
Calum grinned, ruffling Ashton curly locks.
"It suits you."
"We barely know one another and we're already at nicknames, incredible."
Calum rolled his eyes before dragging Ashton over to look at the monkeys. "Maybe I should call you monkey inside."
Ashton cringed, "Do not ever."
Holding his hands up in surrender, Calum spoke again, "Okay, so like you've said we barely know each other. I would like to take this time to learn a bit about you."
Ashton nodded, urging him to continue. He liked the way Calum spoke, the way he made eye contact with him the whole time, the way it made it feel as if all the attention was on Ashton when he wasn't even speaking.
"Where do you work?"
"Hollywood Studios."
"You work here? At Disney? Didn't see that one coming." Calum mumbled, a curious but fond gaze lingering on Ashton. He smiled at the boy.
Ashton nodded, leaning up against the tall fence separating them from the Monkeys. "Two years, actually. I usually come here on my days off. It helps me relax."
"My friend Luke, he works at the Magic Kingdom, but his boyfriend is obsessed with Disney so he gets dragged around everywhere by him, even on his days off. He said it's too much Disney for him, but everyone who knows them, knows Luke would do anything for Michael." Calum sighed, "I hope to find love like that one day."
