When Wonwoo woke up everything was white around him. He batted his eyelids for a few seconds until he realised that he was in a hospital. When he lifted his hands, he saw them bandaged and that's when he remembered the altercation he had with Kim Sumi.

“That's right, the babies” he muttered getting up and opening the curtain that was around him, when he saw his wife on the bed next to him reading a book.

“Oh my God, Oppa! You are awake” she said, ringing the bell to alert the doctor. Soon he was swarmed by doctors and nurses.

“Wonwoo-ssi can you tell me what day it is today?” The doctor asked checking his pupils with his light.

“I think the 25th”

“It's the 28th. You've been sleeping for three days” the doctor said, letting go of his eyelid.

“I was out for three days?” He said in disbelief

“It's okay Wonwoo-ssi. You had been through intense shock. Your body needed that kind of rest. So I'll advise you to take it easy the next few days and recover in the hospital as your burns hasn't healed yet.”

“I understand” he said, hoping they would leave him alone so that he can talk with Inha who was curiously looking at the commotion from her bed, her legs in casts.

“Then I'll leave you to be” said the doctor, finally leaving him. Wonwoo instantly jumped from his bed and went towards Inha and embraced her.

“I am sorry, I am so so sorry” he said as a teardrop trickled from his face.

“What are you sorry for Wonwoo” she asked, wiping the tear from his face, smiling at him.

“I couldn't protect you” he said, holding her cheeks.

“But you protected our children” she said. “And you did that by getting hurt” she said, crying herself.

“Where are the babies?” he asked her

“With Mia eonnie and Seokjin Oppa”

“Were they hurt?” Wonwoo asked

“Thankfully no. It's just you who got hurt” she said rubbing his bandaged palms softly.

“How…” he suddenly sniffled. He reached to pull down her hospital night gown until one of the scars was visible near her chest. He swiped his bandaged thumb across it and Inha followed his movements with her eyes. “How did you endure the pain?” He asked her finally.

“I just did. Had to” she said looking up at him.

“It must have been painful,” he said, remembering the pain he underwent when he held the curling iron.

“It was” she said softly, finally gaining the courage to talk about her pain.

“You must have been so alone. Oh God.” Wonwoo said hugging her once more, realising the circumstances Inha was in.

“I was. But I have you now. And Eunhan and Eunhye. I have my own little family now” she said from his shoulders. The two souls found solace in each other's pain and strived towards healing together.

Wonwoo lifted his head and looked at her cast. “I am sorry I wasn't there when you regained consciousness. You must have been so afraid of going into surgeries” Wonwoo said, talking about the treatment Inha had to undergo.

“It was scary, but the members helped me. So I was okay. I didn't feel as if I was alone.” Inha said smiling. “You know, I am just so grateful to have married you because I have 12 brothers now,” she said. “So I was okay,” she said reassuringly. “Which reminds me, Seungcheol Oppa told me to call him when you wake up.”

“No need. I am already here” Seungcheol’s voice rang as he appeared through the door. “You okay Wonwoo-ya?” He asked his dongsaeng, going near him to give him a hug. “I was so scared when you passed out like that”

“Yes Hyung. I am fine now. I am sorry you had to see that” Wonwoo said, hugging him back.

“Why should you be sorry?” Seungcheol said angrily. “If anybody should be sorry, it's that vile woman, who had the gall to harm innocent babies” Seungcheol said.

“True” Inha whispered and looked down.

“Is she in custody now?” Wonwoo asked and Seungcheol nodded his head.

“The next hearing is in one month.” Seungcheol informed. “Taha Hyung is doing his best to help the prosecution create a solid case to incarcerate that lady as well as take up Inha's child abuse case. Also the public support is totally in your favor too” Seungcheol said.

“That's great to hear” Wonwoo said and held Inha’s hands. Finally there was hope as they saw the light at the end of the tunnel.

So the next few days went by in a blur to the couple. Wonwoo stayed back in the hospital to help with Inha’s rehab.

Soon it was the date of the hearing and a fierce looking Wonwoo wheeled an anxious looking Inha into the courtroom. Inha flinched upon seeing Kim Sumi being brought in by the officers. Sensing her discomfort, Wonwoo placed a hand on hers.

“It's going to be fine. I'll be right behind you if you need me okay?” He said and pushed her wheelchair towards the plaintiff table. Taha was already seated next to Inha’s father as the case in question was related to them both. Inha gave a weak smile at Taha who assured her that they pretty much had the case in the bag. He was a financial lawyer, but he didn't mind taking a child abuse case as well as find evidence regarding how Inha's mother was killed. Being a Qatari Prince and national, Taha had to register himself in South Korea's Bar and get special permission from the Ministry of Justice to appear on behalf of Inha as her lawyer. He wanted to help his wife's friends who have been through so much. Also once the prosecution took over the case dealing with illegal shares that Sumi amassed, Taha shared his findings with the prosecution to help them solidify the case against the woman. With formidable opponents like the South Korean prosecution and Taha on one side, Sumi and her measly group of lawyers didn't stand a chance.
