(Started this story because I originally wanted to put this into the undercover story, but decided not to.)

Tim and Lucy's journey to parenthood wasn't a straight line but a winding, beautiful path filled with surprises. They'd both agreed early on: two kids. Enough to feel full but manageable enough for Lucy to handle the demands of pregnancy and motherhood, especially given their busy, sometimes dangerous careers. Tim was thrilled she was even open to two, despite his secret longing for a little trio of kids. But they didn't care about the specifics of family size or even gender — health and happiness were all that mattered. And after a year of trying, they found out Lucy was pregnant with their first child.

The pregnancy was as smooth as it could be, and when Tayden was born, they both felt like they were holding a little miracle. That little boy changed everything, bringing joy, late nights, and a rhythm of life that had them both completely wrapped around his tiny fingers. Then, before they knew it, Lucy was pregnant again — a little sooner than planned, but it seemed fate had its own ideas. Ethan joined them just over a year after Tayden, another boy and a perfect addition to the growing family. By then, Lucy realized she had fallen in love with the idea of family life in a way she hadn't expected.

So, as Tayden and Ethan grew, Lucy started warming up to Tim's original wish for a third child. She surprised him one evening, and they talked about it for hours, going over every possibility. But Tim was in from the start; it didn't take long for them to decide. Soon enough, Lucy was pregnant again, but this time, there was an extra surprise in store: twins. They were nervous, of course, but Tim was excited, imagining the chaos and laughter two more boys would bring to the house. When Oliver and William were born, the Bradford house buzzed with an energy like never before. Tayden and Ethan were thrilled to be big brothers, and the twins were their partners in every bit of childhood mischief.

For a while, they both thought their family was complete, but fate had a habit of keeping things interesting. Despite taking precautions and planning for Tim's vasectomy, life threw them one last unexpected curveball. Lucy was pregnant yet again. They were both in shock, but deep down, they both knew they had room in their hearts for one more. When little Alexander was born, named in honor of Tim despite his reluctance, the family welcomed him with open arms. Lucy found herself embracing her role as a "boy mom" wholeheartedly. She'd always thought she'd want a daughter, but she loves her boys, they are perfect.

And yet, after a while, a quiet longing crept back. There was one last space in her heart that felt unfilled. She shared her feelings with Tim, who was a little hesitant, knowing their family was already bustling. But after many conversations, weighing the pros and cons, they both decided to go for it one last time.

One year and a month after Alexander's birth, Lucy gave birth to their sixth child. The moment they held their daughter Eliana, every dream they'd ever had seemed to come true all at once. Tim was instantly smitten, feeling a surge of protectiveness he'd never known before. Eliana was their little princess, the missing piece to their family puzzle, and she was adored from the first second she opened her eyes.

Their life was busier and more chaotic than they ever could have imagined, but it was also richer and more beautiful. Tim and Lucy went from planning for two kids to embracing the fullness of life with six. Though they faced a mountain of challenges, with five rowdy sons and a little girl who would one day understand what it was to have five protective brothers, they wouldn't have had it any other way. Their family was everything they'd ever dreamed of — and more.

Kids ages: Eliana 1, Alexander 2, Oliver and William 4, Ethan 5, Tayden 6 (just reference for later stories)
