Tim strolled through the grocery aisles with a focused yet relaxed energy, mentally checking off his list. Eliana, only seven months old, snoozed peacefully in the carrier strapped to his chest, her tiny face resting on him as she napped. Alexander, sat in the shopping cart seat, gripping the handle with an amused look as he watched everything going on around him. And Tayden, walked beside the cart, one hand dutifully holding onto the side as he helped his dad navigate the aisles.

They moved seamlessly through the store, gathering essentials for the week ahead. After grabbing some last-minute items, Tim steered them into the feminine hygiene aisle, casually reaching for the pack of tampons and pads Lucy had asked him to pick up. As he placed it in the cart, Tayden squinted at the package, his nose scrunching up in confusion.

Tayden- Dad?
He asked, pointing at the pack.
Why are you buying those... weird diapers?

Tim chuckled softly, glancing down at Tayden.
Tim- They're not diapers, bud. These are called pads. They're something women use.

Tayden's face showed a mix of intrigue and uncertainty.
Tayden- What do they use them for?

Tim considered his answer, deciding to be straightforward.
Tim- Well, every month, women go through something called a period. It's when their body releases some blood, and pads like these help keep it from getting on their clothes.

Tayden's eyes widened slightly, and he glanced up at his dad.
Tayden- So... does that happen to Mom?

Tim nodded, keeping his tone calm.
Tim- Yes, it does.

Tayden- Does it hurt her?
Tayden asked, looking concerned.

Tim paused for a moment, then gave an honest answer.
Tim- For some women, it doesn't hurt too much. But for others, like your mom, it can be uncomfortable and painful sometimes.

Tayden's face softened with sympathy, and he fell silent as they moved on to the next aisle. After a moment, he looked up at his dad, his voice a little quieter.
Tayden- Can we get Mom some flowers to make her feel better?

Tim smiled, touched by Tayden's thoughtfulness.
Tim- That's a great idea. Let's go pick some out.

They made their way to the floral section, where Tayden carefully examined the options, finally selecting a bouquet of soft pink tulips. His little hands wrapped around the stems as they headed to the checkout, and he couldn't wait to surprise his mom.

Back at home, as soon as they walked in the door, Tayden hurried over to Lucy, holding out the flowers with a proud grin.
Tayden- These are for you, Mom! I thought they might make you feel better.

Lucy's face lit up as she took the flowers, bending down to hug Tayden tightly. $Lucy- Oh, thank you, sweetheart. They're beautiful. You are so thoughtful.
She said, pressing a kiss to his forehead.

Tim grinned as he started unpacking groceries, and Lucy joined him once she placed the flowers in a vase, still beaming. As they put items away, they watched Tayden and Alexander race off to the playroom, laughter echoing from the other room. Little Eliana slept on, blissfully unaware of her family's bustling energy.

Lucy glanced over at Tim, a knowing smile on her face.
Lucy- Thank you for the flowers.
She said softly.

Tim returned her smile, nudging her shoulder playfully.
Tim- You can thank Tayden. He insisted.

As they continued unpacking groceries, Lucy leaned in, her curiosity piqued by Tim's last comment.

Lucy- So... what made Tayden want to get me flowers? She asked, glancing at the vase where the pink tulips were now arranged.
