Meeting Hayes

Chapter 21

Ally's POV

Today's the day. Hayes leaves for 20 days. We are on our way to drop him off at the air port. It's 8 am and I'm tired but I promised I would see him take off. His one arm is wrapped around my waist while the other is holding my hand. My head is resting on his shoulder. Its just His mom, him and I.

We got to the airport and he checked his suitcase in. We are allowed to walk up to the gate with him, because he's not over 16. As we waited, everyone was quiet. That's until Hayes started talking.

"I'm going miss you." he said just above a whisper.

"I will miss you too." I said just as quiet. He lightly kissed my forehead and put his head on top of mine.

"Flight 378 to Atlanta, Georgia now boarding." the lady spoke over the speaker. That's where his tour starts. We all got up and his mom hugged him first.

"Be safe Hayes, I love you." his mom said. I could tell she was trying not to cry either.

"I will mom, I love you too." then he whispered something to her and she nodded. Next was me.

"I'll see you soon Nicole, don't get into too much trouble without me. And text me and call me all the time." he said and smiled. I just nodded, if I talked I knew I would start crying. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his around my waist. We pulled away little and I kissed him for a few seconds.

"See you later." he said.

"See you later Hayes." I said softly.

He walked up to the gate and handed the lady his ticket. He turned back and smiled before getting into the plane. I smiled back but stopped. And that's when I lost it. I brought Elizabeth into a hug and just cried on her shoulder. 28 days is a really long time.

"It's okay sweetie, it will go by quickly, I promise." she said. I hope she's right.

(12 days Later)

Today is the Thursday, during break. I just finished my competition and I got first place in everything. I was very surprised and happy for myself. I talk to Hayes everyday, I oovooed him right after I found out my placements. He is very proud of me. My family and I are on our way to North Carolina to visit Amanda and George.

I haven't really been the same since Hayes left. Well everybody tells me I'm not. I say I'm fine but I'm really not. I miss him a lot. My family told me they had a surprise for me when we got down there, I really want to know what it is. We are about 10 miles away from their house and I'm really excited.

"Ally, is all your stuff together? We're coming up to their house." my mom said.

"Yeah, I'm ready." I said.

We all hopped out of the car and I ran up to Amanda.

"Hey! I miss you guys."i said.

"Well we missed you too!" George said. I gave him a hug

"I'm gonna go get my stuff." I said.

"We'll help!" They said together.

After everything was in the house and in the rooms we sat in the living room.

"Okay now what's the surprise!" I asked happily.

"Well, I was talking to Elizabeth about you and Hayes and she said he tells her everyday how much he misses you. So I told her why don't we send Ally to go see him as a surprise! And she said, that it is a great idea! We could send Riley with you so she can see Nash." My mom said.

"So what your saying is, we're surprising the boys?" I asked. she nodded.

"Well, Nash doesn't know Riley's going, he thinks just you are. So here's the plan....."
