Meeting Hayes

Chapter 14

Hayes POV (woahhh)

Ally and I were just about to get a drink when she ran into Grace. Why is she here?

"Oh, my friend invited me. It's his sisters birthday. Hey Hayes." She said and smiled at me. She is really pretty, but someone else is prettier. Wait, did she say he?

"Hey Grace." I answered and smiled. I don't want to be rude

"Well I'll see you later yeah?" She said. Ally just stood there so I nodded.

Then she started walking towards the table with the drinks. She grabbed one and so did I. They were gone within seconds.  Ally then walked to the living room and saw Nash and Riley sitting on the couch.

"Hey what are you two doing in here?" She asked.

"We wanted to get away, it's crazy in there." Nash said. I nodded.

"Hey we should go down to the beach!" Riley said.

"Okay I'm gonna go tell Julie that we're going." Ally said.

"We will meet you boys outside, okay?" Riley said. We nodded and walked outside.

Ally's POV

"You won't  believe who's here." I rolled my eyes.

"Who?" Riley asked.

"Grace! She's friends with Ben." Now she rolled her eyes.

"Of course she is."

"Hey Julie?" I said.

"Yeah Ally?"

"A few of us are going down to the water, is that okay?"

"Yeah sure, I think Emily wanted everyone to go down there soon anyway so they will all be down shortly after you." She smiled. Riley and I nodded and walked out to the boys.

"Let's go!" I said happily. I love going down to the beach cause it's so peaceful.

Once we got down there I went straight towards the edge of  the water. I took a deep breath and smiled

"It's beautiful." I heard a familiar voice say behind me.

"It is isn't it?" He came over and stood next to me. We just stood there in silence for a little bit. The only thing you could hear was our steady breathes and the waves crashing.

The silence was soon interrupted by many people coming down on the beach. Someone brought speakers and was blasting music. They pretty much brought the whole party out here.

"I guess we're gonna go dance!" I said and smiled. I took Hayes's hand and we walked towards everyone else. We met up with Emily, Taylor, Riley and Nash and we were all dancing having a good time.

After a while, my feet got tired. I told them I was going to go get a drink, so they continued to dance.

I went over to the table they set up and grabbed a drink. Just then, someone came up behind me.

"Hey Ally." He said. I jumped and turned.

"Oh. Hey Ben." I said.

"What, that's all you're gonna say to me after not seeing each other for months?" He said

"What am i supposed to say? Wow Ben, you look great! How have you been? Great talk."

"Look, I'm sorry for what I did. I didn't mean to hurt you! I just want a chance to start over. As friends of course." He said. He looked sympathetic, but he's always been a good actor.

"You know, I hate being such a nice person sometimes." I said.

"You're gonna forgive me!?" He said and lit up. I slowly nodded and he hugged me super tight. I just patted his back and rolled my eyes.

"Oh, this is a random question, but how do you know Grace?" I asked. He rolled his eyes.

"She begged me to invite her, I used to be on her brothers soccer team. She never said why, but it was super weird and she wouldn't stop begging me so I finally said yes. I wish I hadn't." He said. I just nodded.

"Okay I'll see you around then, I need to find my friend."

"Oh, Hayes right?" I stood there shocked.

"How do you know Hayes?" I asked.

"Who doesn't? And besides, I think you two would look great together." He smiled. I thanked him and gave him one last hug before turning around.

"Wait Ally!" I heard him say. I turned around and he handed me a paper.

"Text me!" He said and smiled. I smiled and shoved it into my purse.

I saw Riley, Emily, Taylor and Nash and they looked to be... Fighting?

"Hey what's up?" I said to them. They stopped and looked at me.

"Where's Hayes?" I asked. They all looked at each other and didn't say a word.

"Okay well if you aren't going to answer me I'll just keep looking." I said.

"Ally don't go that way!" Taylor said. And I turned to see something I didn't think I ever would.
