September 2017, Kensington Palace, London

The autumn leaves were beginning to fall as Kensington Palace buzzed with excitement. On a bright September morning, the official announcement broke: Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, was pregnant with her third child. Matilda, George, and Charlotte couldn't contain their joy as they gathered around the television to watch their mother share the news.

"Can you believe it? We're going to have a new brother or sister!" Matilda exclaimed, bouncing on her toes, her eyes shining with excitement.

"I hope it's a brother!" George shouted, grinning widely. "Then we can have our own football team!"

Charlotte, clutching her favorite stuffed bunny, chimed in, "I want a sister! We can play princesses together!"

As the announcement unfolded, their mother spoke about how thrilled the family was, despite the challenges that came with pregnancy. Matilda noticed a hint of worry in Catherine's eyes; she had suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum during her previous pregnancies, a condition that caused severe nausea and vomiting. Yet, there was also a bright smile on her face, and that made Matilda feel hopeful.

Later that afternoon, as they played in the garden, Matilda couldn't stop thinking about the baby. "What should we name him if it's a boy?" she asked her siblings, a serious look on her face.

"I like the name Louis!" Charlotte suggested, her eyes sparkling. "It sounds royal!"

"Louis is a good name," Matilda agreed, nodding. "It sounds strong and cool."

George shrugged. "I guess it's alright. But what if it's a girl? We can't name her Louis!"

Matilda waved her hand dismissively. "Let's just focus on the boy first! We can think about girls later," she replied, feeling more excited by the moment.

The next day at school, Matilda couldn't wait to share the news with her classmates. During history class, she raised her hand eagerly. "Guess what? I'm going to be a big sister again! My mom is having a baby!"

Her teacher, Miss Taylor, smiled warmly. "That's wonderful news, Matilda! Do you know if it's a boy or a girl yet?"

"Not yet, but we want to name him Louis if it's a boy!" Matilda declared, proud to announce her family's decision.

Her classmates cheered, and even some of the boys, who usually weren't interested in babies, seemed excited. "You're gonna have to teach him how to play football!" one of them shouted, and Matilda giggled, imagining all the fun they would have as a family.

During art class later that day, Matilda felt inspired. She grabbed her colored pencils and began to draw a picture of her family—her mother with a baby bump, George playing football, Charlotte with her princess dress, and herself holding a sign that read, "Welcome Baby Louis!"

"Look, Miss Jones!" Matilda said, holding up her drawing proudly. "This is my family with the new baby!"

"Very creative, Matilda," Miss Jones praised, smiling at her. "I can see you're going to be a great big sister!"

As the school day wrapped up, Matilda felt a swell of happiness inside her. Despite the challenges that lay ahead for her mother, she was ready to embrace her new role as a big sister. The idea of having a little brother, especially one named Louis, filled her with joy.

" I'm so exiting of being a new big sister" said MAtilda as she come back from school with her father.

William chuckled, pulling Matilda into a warm hug. "Sounds like you're going to be an excellent big sister, Matilda."

"And I'll help you with his homework!" George chimed in, already dreaming of the day they could teach their new sibling all the things they had learned.

"That's a great idea!" Catherine said, her voice filled with warmth. She leaned down to Matilda. "Thank you for being so supportive, sweetheart. It means a lot to us."

Matilda beamed, feeling proud. "I can't wait to meet him! And I'll show him all my favorite subjects, especially history, math, and art!"

As the evening settled in, the family gathered for dinner, talking about their day and the excitement of welcoming a new member. Laughter filled the air, and Matilda felt her heart swell with happiness. She knew that with a new baby on the way, their family would grow even stronger, and she was ready to take on the role of the best big sister ever.
