PLACE : Windsor Castle, The Royal Box

The soft golden hues of twilight began to settle over the lush grounds of Windsor Castle, creating a breathtaking backdrop for the evening's grand event: the Coronation Concert. It was the culmination of an extraordinary weekend of celebration, and the atmosphere was electric. Thousands of spectators, waving Union Jack flags and adorned in festive colors, filled the sprawling East Lawn in front of the largest stage ever built in Britain.

Inside the royal box, Princess Matilda, the oldest sibling of George and Charlotte, stood by the railing, her eyes shining as she took in the view. The stage glittered with lights that danced like tiny stars, and the hum of the orchestra warming up promised an unforgettable night.

"Matilda, come sit down!" Prince George tugged at her sleeve, a mischievous grin on his face. At nine years old, he was eager to claim the best spot beside his sister.

"George, don't pull! I'll sit when I'm ready," Matilda replied, her voice calm but teasing. At thirteen, Matilda had a natural air of grace and confidence, qualities that her younger siblings admired but also liked to challenge.

Eight-year-old Charlotte chimed in, "Matilda's just excited because she thinks she'll get to sing with Katy Perry!" Her giggle was infectious, and even George joined in.

Matilda turned to her with mock indignation. "I might not be singing with her, but at least I know all the words to 'Roar,' which is more than I can say for you, Charlotte!"

"Do not!" Charlotte shot back, crossing her arms with a pout.

"Do too! Want me to prove it?" Matilda leaned down and started softly singing the chorus, her voice clear and confident. George clapped his hands over his ears dramatically.

"Alright, alright! You win!" Charlotte laughed, and the playful banter dissolved into shared excitement.

King Charles and Queen Camilla had just entered the box, greeted by a roaring cheer from the crowd below. The children straightened up and waved enthusiastically, their glowstick wristbands lighting up as they moved.

"Look at Grandpapa!" George whispered, nudging Matilda. "He's waving like he's at a football match!"

Matilda stifled a laugh. "He's just happy to see everyone celebrating. This is his big moment, after all."

The lights on the stage dimmed, and the orchestra began the first notes of the evening. A hush fell over the crowd as the booming voice of Hugh Bonneville, the evening's host, welcomed everyone to the Coronation Concert.

Matilda, George, and Charlotte leaned forward in their seats, their eyes wide with anticipation. The opening act featured a stunning joint performance by The Royal Ballet, The Royal Opera House, the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Royal College of Music, and The Royal College of Art. The children were mesmerized by the seamless blend of music, dance, and theatrical artistry.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Matilda whispered, her voice filled with awe.

Charlotte nodded, her eyes glued to the stage. "It's like a fairy tale," she said softly.

George, however, was less impressed by the ballet. "When's the singing going to start?" he muttered, fidgeting in his seat.

"Be patient," Matilda said, her tone half scolding, half amused. "Good things come to those who wait."

Soon enough, George's patience was rewarded. The stage erupted in a burst of color and energy as Katy Perry took the stage, dazzling in a sparkling gown. The opening notes of her hit song "Roar" sent the crowd into a frenzy.
