If there's one thing I'd love to do right now, it's pry the assholes hands away from her, beat his ass, and then dismember his body in front of his family.

I watch as he hands her a bill, his eyes locked with hers, speaking whatever nonsense. She nods in response and goes back to do more work.

It's around ten p.m. and I've found myself, once again, seated in my vehicle at the Steak n' Shake parking lot. To say it was a coincidence would be a lie. I was over at the Walmart right across the street, and just so happened to know that she'd be working today. Of course the only thing left to do was stay in my car and watch her from afar.

I contemplated entering the building earlier but I preferred her not being aware of my presence.

She puts his fires in the bag and hands it to him. He mumbles a few words and she smiles. Pathetic. If he thinks he has a chance with her, he's dead.

He starts to leave, finally.

The restaurant is damn near empty, she's the only worker at the front. There are only four cars in the lot, one which the peice of shit is currently leaving in. One is mine and the two others I'm assuming are her coworkers?

She doesn't drive, she takes the bus.

By the looks of it she seems to be eager to go home. Lya started her shift at 6:30 and would end around 10:30. She always worked Thursdays from 6:30 to 10:30 and someway somehow I always accompanied her from 8:30 to at least 10:55.

If it wasn't for my priorities at work and school, I'd gladly accommodate my schedule to fulfill all five hours and twenty-five minutes of watching her clock in, clock out, and wait for her ride.

But for now, the two hours and twenty-five minutes will do.

"The ball is two weeks from today, I want you to accompany me." My father states.

I slouch on the chair adjacent to him and groan. Another ball, another task, another dumbass place I have to be when I don't want to be.

"For what? It's not like I'm taking over any time soon? You can't keep forcing me to go to these events, I have other things to worry about." Like her.

"And those things are irrelevant."

How dare he.

"Listen, before you even step foot into that office and claim the empire I've built for this family, you need to get accustomed to the basics. Events like these are a way to network, you're a fresh new face. Everyone knows Don Vatican, but few know his stubborn son." He replies.

I roll my eyes and stand up to make my leave.

"Seven O'clock, Thursday the 21st, I expect you to be there or else you know the drill!"

I shut his office door before he could utter another useless sentence.

Every time he fixes to open his mouth to I feel like ripping it into shreds. Him and this stupid company, can go to hell for all I care.
