Seriously?" He exclaimed. I try not to roll my eyes. June looked like a kid who had broken into a candy shop. His eyes were the brightest I've ever seen them as he fidgeted with my jacket like some lover boy.

Boy get off me.

"Yea...I'll give you a chance. But I do have some rules."

Anui and I had come up with a list of rules he'd be forced to abide by if this was going to "work" between us. She made up most of the rules— actually she made all of them. Realizing that, I should've reviewed them before revealing it to him. Nonetheless, I grab the scrunched paper from my back pocket and begin to unwrinkle it.

"Rules? Why would I need rules?"

"Without rules I'm not able to go along with your...change." I reason. He looked puzzled at first but his head slowly began to nod.

I stared at him for a good second before continuing my long awaited speech.

"My Ten Commandments-"

"Ten Commandments?" He laughs.

"Be quiet and listen while I talk." I say irritated. Shocked from my own words I cover my mouth. His eyes darken but I quickly regain my stature and read the rule lined paper again.

"M-my Ten Commandments. Rule one, you must not limit my interactions with anyone." Oh God Anui wants me killed.

He didn't say anything but instead continued to stare. His face was unreadable so I continued down the list. "Two, you must introduce me to people close to you, as it will strength our relationship." In my head I'm cursing Anui. While she did mention something about being close to his family and whatnot would help me get into his personal information, I told her to scrap it. CLEARLY she didn't listen.

Fortunately, once again, he remained silent.

"T-three um you need to stop forcing yourself on me." Finally one that's reasonable. No more begging to kiss and janitor closet kidnaps. I'm ultimately tired.

I didn't bother to look at him this time.

"Four, you need to nicer to me. No more calling me a whore. Talk to me kindly— with respect n stuff."

Why didn't Anui make number four as number one?

"Five, you cannot be as clingy as before. My personal space is sacred and you've crossed that boundary way too many times."

I finally look up to him again. He had his bottom lop tucked in between his teeth. His alluring green eyes continued to pierce into my soul.

If it wasn't June, I wouldn't be mad at myself for being damp down there right now.

"S-six. You have to apologize to Anui and buy her Chipotle." I lightly chuckle at this one. Actually, I'm shocked that THIS wasn't number one. Considering how hateful he was towards her, especially nearing the end of high school, an apology was long overdue.

"Seven. I can wear what I want, where I want, and how I want." I say this slowly, fearing that this may be the end of it all. To my surprise it's silent, yet I can't muster up the courage to face him eye to eye. So I keep my eyes on the paper.

"Eight. In exchange for change, you have to pay my tuition bill for the next semester." Anui is so evil! I don't know why I was even still reading this! Sure, June was rich but this made me look like a gold digger.

"You know what, scrap the last two okay." I'm done reading these off.

Silence filled the hall, I fidgeted with my braids before levitating my gaze. "So yea these are my rules. I-I mean only if you really want this."

Instead of yelling, or putting me in a tight hold, he surprisingly shrugs. My mouth slowly hangs open but closes when he uses his index finger to flighty being my chin forward to his direction.

"Okay. I mean if compromising is the only way you're on board then I'm willing to follow your weird little rules." He chuckles.

That was oddly easy

"Oh uh okay, I guess I'll see you at lunch?"

He nods and with that I swiftly scurry to the girls bathroom. I don't know what I'm more shocked at, some of the abused rules or him agreeing to them.

June

Oh how clumsy my love is. Lya was always in a hurry. Why? I couldn't tell you but I could. Most of the time it was cause I was behind chasing her. Other times it was cause that's simply who she is.

She must've forgot to securely place the ball paper in her pocket. Luckily I was the one to retrieve it and not some nosy freak who likes to be all up in her business.

The loose leaf paper was in my hands as I waited outside of the girls bathroom to hand it to her.

However...I might as well read it when she's not here.

"Nine. Take me out on frequent dates. You must pay for everything."

Already planned on that.

"Ten. You must never hide a secret from me. Ever."

Oh.
