Amiryla

I dug through my locker in search for that darn paper. I don't recall where I misplaced it, but it would be too embarrassing for it to land in the hands of the wrong person. I couldn't tell Anui to help me either, because she'd just end up scolding me for a good thirty minutes.

"Hey Mir Mir!"

Speaking of Anui

I half shut my locker to look at her. She had a Chipotle bowl in her hand as she waved to me happily.

Her and this damn Chipotle. It wasn't even that good, I've tasted better.

"Guess who got me this bowl for zero dollars , no tax?"

I give her a raised brow, "I don't know, your mom?"

She laughed before leaning against the locker, closing it completely shut.

"No silly, ur playboy aka June Vatican, so kindly purchased this beautiful crafted rice, chicken, lettuce, and pico bowl as a symbol of his genuine apology."

My June Vatican?

The June I haven't seen in like two days since we last talked about my "commandments", the list I'm trying to find like right now?

"June actually apologized to you?"

She nodded in response. "Apologized and even offered to get me a second bowl, but I declined. He's yours to waste his money on." She sighed.

It's quite hard believing June would follow through with the list. Maybe this second absence of his was obeying rule number five, not being as clingy. I'm conflicted on applauding his efforts or questioning them.

"Ya know I'm starting to think he's like serious SERIOUS about this whole change thing. I know that it's just Chipotle or whatever, but even his apology seemed sincere. This dude wants you so bad Mir, you don't even know." Seconds later she starts to devour her bowl. Considering I haven't eaten breakfast yet, I was jealous June didn't invite me on this free rice bowl trip.

Nonetheless, I kept my composure, praying she wouldn't mention the Ten Commandments. I wasn't a good liar, it didn't take much to spill the truth out of me. Another one of my many flaws.

She ate her bowl in silence and I just stared at my shoes. They were getting dirty, mostly because I don't pay attention to my surroundings. I'm not sure where I get these traits from. My mom? No, she wasn't submissive, clumsy, or oblivious like I am. My dad? Well I never met him so-

"Is that who I think it is or am I tripping?" Anui Interrupted my thoughts as she taps me on my shoulder.

I raised my head and was met with bimbo fabulous. The amount of glitter and glam was too much for me to handle. I looked down as soon as she locked eyes with me.

"This bitch came back from hell." Anui states.

I hear the click of what I'm assuming are her signature pink Loui Buttons.
"Well well well, if it isn't dumb and dumber," she laughed. I didn't  bother to  turn around, yet I could tell she had that annoying smirk on her face.

What the fuck is she doing here ?

"I'm actually shocked to see you here,
Amilia is it? The poor one." She chuckles.

"Shouldn't you be meeting up with a plastic surgeon to fix that lopsided bbl or something?" Anui asked. I chuckle in response and finally build the courage to face her.

She looked slightly different. Sandra's lips were bigger than before, to no one's surprise. Her hair was bleached platinum blonde instead of her usual dirty blonde. I could tell she lost weight. Whether it was Ozempic or a very strict diet, it made her look like one of those Victoria Secret models who ate cigarettes for breakfast.

"You're just upset that it looks better than yours hun. Move along now, I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to your friend here, Amilia. The one who couldn't even afford lunch in high school, but goes to one of the best schools in the state. I'm actually shocked! It's funny seeing you here, you know, just like it was funny seeing you with June in the janitors closet senior year hm?"

June has always been notorious for holding me hostage in janitors closet, one time we unfortunately were caught by his mentally deranged girlfriend, the one in front of me, and clearly she's held a grudge on me since then. That was two days before the last day of school, so I didn't get to endure her antics for very long. But somehow for some reason, nearly two years later, she's still making the same classist jokes.

I could tell from the look on Anui's face that she wanted me to stick up for myself, put the bitch in her place, once and for all.

I look back at Sandra and her head is tilted, waiting for my response. "I got the Ruth scholarship and my tuition was paid in full, I didn't have my mommy or daddy bribe the faculty into letting me in. I know you're jealous and all, but just cause you're an underachieved bimbo doesn't mean you can attack those who actually work hard!" I snap back.

Anui claps but Sandra's slightly squints her eyes, she looks like she wanted to cut my head off and put it on a stick. I don't know what her problem was, I don't even want June, she could have him after I get done with this whole plan Anui's making me go through. Shit actually, she could have him now.

My financial situation was none of her business, it was draining having to be around these posh princesses and "poise" princes all the time. Anui was the only rich person around me that was like...Normal. She didn't judge my home or my clothes. She didn't look at me weird when I told her I didn't have a trust fund. Anui has not once brought up my hardships, so why does this stupid whore think she can?

"That's funny you say that Amilia...The Ruth scholarship isn't a thing. We both know you slept your way into the school hun. Your brains weren't enough to get the acceptance letter. And honestly, seems like you're jealous of my nepotism." She smiled.

Before I could respond Anui did it for me, "Look hoe, we don't have time for your ass, you need to go do your daily ritual of dick riding dudes that don't fuck with you ok? Skidadle before I slap the shit outta you."

Clock that tea.

With that she left, flipping her hair in our faces. We both caught a whiff of her hairspray and coughed.

"Thank you Anui" I say as I try to regain myself.

"No problem, you actually defended yourself for the first time too, I'm proud of you," she smiles.

I smile back and laugh.

"But forreal tho, what's the Ruth Scholarship?"
