The next afternoon, Angel strolled into the hotel lobby, a smug grin on his face as he threw his arms out. "Ta-da!" he announced, doing a slow 360 spin to show off his new look.
Vox, sitting on the couch, blinked as he took in Angel's transformation. "Holy shit," he muttered, looking him up and down, genuinely impressed.
Husk emerged from behind the bar with a bottle in hand, ready to grumble his usual greeting, but froze in his tracks. His jaw dropped, and he stared at Angel, almost in awe. The entire room seemed to pause as if Angel were moving in slow motion.
Angel had added bold black highlights to his usual snowy white hair, which framed his face in a dramatic contrast. A new piercing gleamed from one nostril, and both sides of his bottom lip sported fresh silver rings, giving him an edgier look. He wore a heart-shaped crop top, barely reaching his waist, with a cropped black leather hoodie jacket on top. His black skinny jeans hugged his legs, and his feet were adorned with bright pink tie-dye Nikes that stood out vibrantly against the rest of his ensemble.
"Damn, Ange, when did you decide to go full rockstar?" Vox asked, raising an eyebrow and smirking.
"Yeah, what's with the getup?" Husk finally managed, eyes still wide. He might've tried to play it off cool, but his surprise was impossible to hide.
Angel winked, running a hand through his newly highlighted hair. "Decided it was time for a change. Valentino's out of the picture, so... why not?"
"Well, it suits you," Vox said with a grin, nodding in approval. "Maybe too well. Can't have you outshining the rest of us, though."
Husk mumbled something about needing another drink to process this, but there was a small smile tugging at his lips as he poured himself a fresh glass.
