The next morning, Vox blinked awake, squinting at the light streaming in from the window. His head throbbed, and his body felt heavy, remnants of the previous night's debauchery settling in. He let out a groan, rubbing his eyes before realizing Alastor was lying beside him, watching him with an amused smirk.

"Good morning, sunshine," Alastor teased, his voice smooth but laced with mischief. "How's that hangover treating you?"

Vox groaned, flopping his head back onto the pillow. "Ugh... like a truck hit me. Why did I drink that much?"

Alastor chuckled, leaning over to press a gentle kiss on Vox's forehead. "Because, my dear, you kept insisting you could 'totally keep up with everyone else.' And I let you."

Vox's expression softened as he looked at Alastor. Memories of his drunken, rambling confession flashed through his mind, and he felt a warm blush creep up his face. "Did I... did I say anything... embarrassing last night?"

"Only that you have no idea why we ever broke up and that you're madly in love with me," Alastor said, his grin widening playfully.

Vox groaned, covering his face. "Of course I did..."

Alastor gently pulled his hands away and leaned in close, his voice softer. "Hey. For what it's worth, I feel the same way." He pressed a kiss to Vox's mouth, slow and lingering, conveying his affection without words.

After a moment, Vox pulled back, the hint of a smile tugging at his lips despite the hangover. "Guess I can't argue with that."

Alastor chuckled, getting up from the bed. "Come on, let's get you something to ease that headache. I made coffee... and maybe even toast, if you're lucky."

Vox let out a laugh, hauling himself out of bed to follow Alastor, feeling that despite the aches, he was exactly where he wanted to be.

As they headed downstairs, Vox was greeted by the warm, comforting scent of coffee and the sight of Alastor setting a mug on the kitchen counter with a knowing smile. Vox slid onto the stool, taking a cautious sip and sighing in relief as the caffeine started to work its magic.

"So, what's on the agenda for today?" Vox asked, rubbing his temples with one hand, the other firmly wrapped around the coffee mug.

"Well, first," Alastor replied with a smirk, "a shower, because you, my dear, smell like every kind of drink imaginable." He leaned in, lowering his voice conspiratorially, "And then, I thought we'd spend the day somewhere quiet, just the two of us. Maybe the park?"

Vox perked up, visibly pleased at the thought of a calm day together. "You know, that sounds amazing. I could go for a break from... everything." He gestured vaguely, thinking of last night's chaos and the surprises they'd run into recently.

They sat together in comfortable silence, sipping their coffee, until the familiar sounds of laughter and chatter echoed from the hallway. Angel Dust, barely awake but still full of energy, sauntered into the kitchen, Husk trailing behind him with a grumble.

"Mornin', lovebirds," Angel greeted them with a grin, plopping down in a chair opposite them.

"Did you two have fun with your *ahem* private little after-party?" Angel teased, waggling his eyebrows at Vox and Alastor.

Vox rolled his eyes but couldn't suppress a smile. "Just a little *bonding,*" he said dryly, taking another sip of coffee.

Husk, looking more disheveled than usual, flopped into the seat next to Angel. "I'm still recovering from last night," he muttered, rubbing his face. "How are you two so perky?"

"Perky is relative," Vox muttered, holding his cup up as evidence. Alastor chuckled, his arm draped loosely around Vox's shoulders.

After a bit of lighthearted banter, Angel and Husk excused themselves, Angel dragging Husk off to rest more after their eventful night. Alastor turned to Vox with a gentle smile, reaching out to take his hand.
