They'd just arrived back at the hotel, when a knock on the front doors echoed. Vox opened it to reveal Velvette, practically bouncing on her heels. "Oh my devil! Angel posted the best news ever!" she squealed, dashing over to Vox and Alastor. She threw her arms around them, pulling them both into a tight hug.

"Congrats, you two lovebirds!" she gushed. "This is the hottest story I've heard in ages!"

Alastor chuckled, a bit taken aback by Velvette's enthusiasm. "Well, I suppose we can credit Angel's... timely announcement," he said, throwing Angel a knowing smile.

"Oh, you know I couldn't keep this to myself!" Angel grinned, wrapping an arm around Husk, who looked amused by the whole scene.

Velvette flashed a grin. "Alright, now you've gotta tell me everything! The proposal, the dinner, what you're wearing at the wedding—oh, I have to be involved!"

"Let's take it one step at a time," Vox laughed, squeezing Alastor's hand. "We haven't even made it through the engagement night yet."

They all laughed, and Niffty, still glowing from excitement, piped up, "I get to wear a pretty dress, too!"

The group celebrated well into the night, toasting, sharing stories, and basking in the start of Vox and Alastor's new journey together.

As the celebration wound down, Vox pulled Velvette aside, his expression turning thoughtful. "Hey, Vel," he began, "I was thinking about the living situation. With Val gone, and you having the VS Tower to yourself... what if we did some renovating?"

Velvette's eyes lit up. "Renovating? Oh, you know I love a good makeover!"

"Exactly," Vox grinned. "I could set it up so the upper floors are all yours, like your own personal apartment. And below that, it's still your work area. Of course, the main VoxTek floor stays untouched. But I thought it might be nice for you to have a space all your own, fully personalized."

Velvette gasped, practically bouncing with excitement. "Are you serious? I would love that! We could make it so glam and chic! And, oh—new signage! There's two of us now instead of three, so we'll need something to show off the two Vs."

Vox nodded. "Exactly. I was hoping you'd want to design it, since it's your style—and I know whatever you come up with will be perfect."

At that, Niffty perked up, looking at Velvette with a hopeful smile. "Oh! Can I help, too?"

Velvette smiled down at her, reaching out to squeeze her hand. "Of course you can, sweetie! We're gonna make this the best sign the city has ever seen!"

Vox chuckled, watching them both start throwing out ideas. "Alright then, it's settled. Let's make this the start of something big."

With plans in motion and excitement renewed, they all settled back in, basking in the warmth of the evening and the promises of a bright future together.

Velvette had a few drinks with the group, laughing and sharing stories as the night wore on. But eventually, she glanced at her watch and sighed. "As much as I'd love to stay, I've got work in the morning. You know how it is," she said, standing up and smoothing down her outfit.

Vox walked her to the door, making sure she had everything she needed. "Just remember, if you need anything, don't hesitate to call me, okay?" he said earnestly.

"Of course, Vox! You're the best," she replied, giving him a warm smile before heading out into the night.

As the door closed behind her, Alastor turned to Vox with a teasing grin. "Well, well, look who's the one with the 'soft side' now! I could almost see the paternal instinct glowing."

Vox rolled his eyes, unable to suppress a smile. "I'm not a father figure to her, you know. Well, I mean... I want to be, but she's so stubborn. She doesn't like to take help from anyone."

"Maybe she just likes the idea of being independent," Alastor replied, crossing his arms playfully. "But you do have a bit of a 'dad mode' when it comes to her, you know."

"Yeah, yeah," Vox said, laughing it off. "I just want to look out for her. She's family, even if she doesn't see it that way."

"Family, indeed," Alastor echoed, leaning in closer. "It's nice to see you care, Vox. It suits you."

"Don't get used to it," Vox quipped, but the fondness in his voice was unmistakable. The atmosphere shifted, filled with warmth and camaraderie as they all settled back in to enjoy the rest of the night together.
