With some guidance from Mirajane, Lucy managed to find a cute place for her to stay in her new town, Magnolia. Her new apartment was a little pricey, but the amenities made up for it. It was spacious and quiet, coming along with a cooking stove and a little old-fashioned fireplace. She'd only finished unpacking and after a much-needed hot bath, she walked into her living space and found pink hair sprouting from her leather armchair.
"W-what are you doing in my room?!" She screeched, holding the edge of her towel to her body.
"Mira told me you lived here, I found a job for us, so put some clothes on and let's go," Natsu stated with a blank look on his face, stretched out over her plush armchair. He balanced his chin on the palm of his hand as he leaned forward, his elbows on his knees. "Hurry up." He instructed, and Lucy awkwardly shuffled around them, grabbing her clothes before heading back to the bathroom.
So much for a quiet evening.
It wasn't long before the trio hustled to the train station and once on the train, Lucy's eyes almost bulged out of her head.
"Natsu has motion sickness?" Lucy whispered to Happy, who sat beside her. Across from her, Natsu was seated, looking about as green as a cucumber. He groaned and huffed, moaning as the train ride went on.
"Maybe you should lie down," Lucy said unsure, gesturing Happy to move, "Happy, switch seats with Natsu." The cat obliged and dragged Natsu over to the blonde who gently positioned him with his head on her lap. "It'll feel better when you lie down, I used to get motion sickness as a child," Lucy murmured, stroking his hair to soothe him before she froze, realizing what she was doing. When he didn't protest, she kept playing with his hair, looking out of the train window every once in a while.
"So, what's our job?" She asked. They hadn't told her much — well, Natsu hadn't — he only told her to pack her things and come along.
"Well, we're on our way to the client's house where they'll explain in more detail, but we just have to steal a book and destroy it, I'm pretty sure," Happy mused; pondering in thought. Lucy nodded, satisfied with his answer.
"By the way, what magic do you use, Lucy?" Happy inquired. Lucy shifted her weight on her legs back and forth, taking a deep breath. The question was going to be asked eventually.
"Well, I studied spatial magic, more specifically, Celestial Spirit magic," Lucy mumbled, "My mom used Celestial Spirit magic, she was the one who introduced me to it."
"Isn't that a holder type magic?" Lucy nodded in response to Happy's question, shifting Natsu slightly to reveal her ring filled with keys.
"Majority of these keys were given to me by my mom but some of them I found in magic shops," Lucy explained, gesturing to her keys, "I was visiting a magic shop in Hargeon when I met you two."
"Oh okay! That sounds pretty cool, I can't wait to see you summon a spirit," Happy beamed. Lucy felt her smile falter but she was quick to correct it. I can keep hiding it, if only for a bit longer.

They reached the town of Shirotsume and headed straight for the client's house. Lucy was in awe of the large, fancy building the address had led them too, watching as Natsu dared to knock on the grand front door they had.
"Mages of Fairy Tail!" Natsu called out impatiently.
A moment later, the door opened, and an older woman ushered them in. "My husband is in his study, please follow me," she led the way to an established office, offering tea as they walked in. Politely refusing, Lucy and Natsu came face-to-face with their client. A tall man with a moustache and strong eyebrows greeted them with a closed-eye smile.
