The following afternoon had been consumed with meeting after meeting, devising strategies, battle plans and escape routes; not to mention evacuating the citizens of Magnolia while they still could. Lucy had gone along with Levy, Lily, Gajeel, Mira, and Wendy to help evacuate everyone, an effort that had gone on well into the night.

"Something's different about you, Lu, you're all smiley for some reason," Levy commented, poking the blonde in the side as they all walked down back towards the guild from the outskirts of town. Mira had told them to go back without her, wanting to speak with Porlyusica about the danger coming. The exceed squad had stayed behind as well after being called to a meeting by Happy, much to Carla and Lily's irritation.

"Oh, really?" Lucy hummed, trying to keep her face neutral. Crap! Was everyone going to catch on so quickly?

"Obviously, she's smells just like Chaos now," Gajeel grumbled, pinching his nose, "it's as if the bastard was standing right here himself."

"Yeah, I noticed it too," Wendy added sheepishly with an unsure smile.

"No way... Lucy? Are you and Natsu... ?" Levy gasped, grabbing the blonde's arm and pulling her to a stop. Lucy internally groaned, they were literally outside her front door.

"Just keep it to yourselves for now please, I want to enjoy the peace while I still can," Lucy pleaded and the surrounding others nodded solemnly.

Suddenly, the door slammed open and Lucy barely had time to react or speak when she was pulled into the safety of a warm chest. In the next minute, she was pressed against the door, Natsu's body firmly pressed against hers as he nuzzled her head, neck, and shoulder area. Low growls rumbled from his throat as a warning, and Lucy faintly heard Gajeel bark out a laugh outside the door.

"Bye Natsu! Bye Lucy!" Wendy chimed, her voice muffled.

"I'm surprised they even managed to get this far," Gajeel stated with slight disbelief, "I was starting to think they were hopeless."

A smack and a hiss of pain was heard next.

"Gajeel!" Levy chided, "we'll talk later, Lu. Get some rest, you guys."

Finally, the sound of departing footsteps and muffled conversation--no doubt gossiping--began to fade, and Lucy focused on the dragon in front of her.

Her dragon, who stared at her so intensely with so much want and need that her knees almost buckled.

She felt her face heat up, no doubt a bright cherry red colour, and she scurried past her boyfriend towards the bathroom in an attempt to hide.

Natsu—of course—was right on her tail, angling himself behind her as she began to pull out her hair from its loose ponytail, grabbing her pink brush to detangle it gently. They stood in silence, Lucy feeling awkward as Natsu pinned her with an unwavering stare. She knew she only had a few minutes to freshen up before he acted on their unspoken desire.

It'd been a weird few days.

Good days.

That ended way too short.

As Natsu smothered her into the mattress, naked bodies slotting together perfectly, Lucy felt like she was in heaven on earth. She panted into Natsu's ear as the sound of skin slapping together echoed in her small apartment. The pleasure vibrated through her body and as Natsu grasped strands of her hair tightly in his fist, her eyes shot open; catching the hazy look in his eyes as sweat beaded, dripping down from his forehead.

Eventually, when they'd both exhausted themselves hours into the night, Lucy hissed as she felt tenderness on her shoulder from bite marks Natsu had seared into her skin. He lapped at them with his tongue lovingly, holding her close to his chest, and Lucy couldn't resist the urge to burrow closer.
