Author's POV

"B.O.B? What does that mean?" Asked David..in confusion..
"We have no idea too David..all we know is we found this" said Shawn.

The eerie atmosphere was getting to them, the rooftop’s silence broken only by the occasional distant hoot of an owl and the whisper of the wind.

Cathrin, who had been standing still, suddenly tensed up, her eyes widening. She started to tremble slightly, her gaze growing distant and unfocused as if something terrifying had just dawned on her.

Victor quickly noticed and stepped over to her, his hand reaching out to steady her. “Cathrin, it’s okay. I know this place is creepy, but we’re here together,” he murmured, his voice calm and soothing. He thought she was simply overwhelmed by the atmosphere, but he couldn’t shake the feeling that something more was bothering her.

Realizing that they were drifting from the task, Victor cleared his throat, drawing everyone’s attention back to the puzzle at hand. “Alright, we can’t lose focus. Whatever ‘B.O.B.’ means, we need to concentrate on the symbols for now. They’re the key to solving this.”

Cathrin took a deep breath, visibly calming herself, and nodded. Her eyes met Victor’s with a silent resolve, and together, they knelt down to study the symbols more closely. They traced the patterns, analyzing them thoughtfully, connecting the dots one by one with intelligent guesses and a few logical deductions.

Just then, Natasha pointed to the outer ring of symbols, a realization lighting up her face. “Wait, there are seven symbols here, and Jeanne and Shawn had seven dolls with them, right?”

Jeanne’s face turned pale as the implications sank in. “Yes… but we only have one doll left.”

Cathrin’s breath hitched, and her face turned ashen. Her eyes filled with terror as she stared at Victor. “O-One doll left? V-Victor, S-Stellan and Louis are not here!!” Her voice quivered, and tears gathered in her eyes, spilling over in fear.

Everyone’s face had an horrified expression, not able to take in the fact that only Louis and Stellan were not present there. The air thickened.

Flashback

"

DECODE THE ANCIENT SCRIPT: You discover an old scroll with writings in an ancient script. You must decode the script to reveal instructions for your next move. The decoding process involves finding matching symbols around the house and using them to translate the text. ALERT: You have 1 and a half hour to complete this. PLACE: In the Art room. Second floor, right side, 2nd room."
"Wowwww... so now we are supposed to translate languages?" Louis said in the most dramatic way..
"Don't worry Louis.. I know 6 languages.. so yeah we'll manage.......I guess" She said confident yet nervous..

While, the others left for their tasks, Louis and Stellan left for the art room.
Louis took a deep breath and looked at her skeptically.
"Six languages? Really? I can barely manage two."

She shrugged, adjusting her backpack as they made their way up the creaky staircase to the second floor.
“Well, not all of us spent time learning, uh, interpretive dance as a language."

"Hey!" Louis defended, a grin breaking across his face.
“Expressive body language counts, thank you very much!”
Stellan chuckled at his childishness.

They finally reached the art room, a dimly lit space filled with ancient paintings, statues, and odd sculptures. Dust floated in the air, adding to the eerie, almost magical vibe of the room.
