It's been 3 days since they set foot inside the Lust Ring. They each booked a room inside a hotel nearby, and the search for Alastor had started immediately. They knew he was in the Lust Ring, but each Ring could be the size of an entire Earth. It would take even Lucifer at least a week minimum to search the entirety of it.

However, ever since they learned about Alastor's deal with Lilith, Lucifer had traced her magic which was not only more affected but a lot quicker too. And surely enough, it only took 3 days to locate them.

The clues had led them to a small wooden cabin, far away from the Main City of Lust, and hidden away between rows of mountains. Yet, the amount of Lilith's magic that could be felt was no joke. Lilith was definitely the owner of this cabin.

"Is he in there? Can you feel anything?" Charlie asked Vox. Throughout the days, Vox had been trying to use his abilities to find any sign of Alastor's wavelengths since they were both Media Demons.

"No. There's a barrier stopping me from feeling anything from inside that cabin. We'll need to get rid of that magic barrier thing." Vox responded.

"No can do, my friend. My wife isn't stupid. There's gotta be something that would alert her if the barrier is broken." Lucifer said. "But...I can go inside. No power can overlap mine. I'll be able to go through that barrier easily. Though it is a little risky-"

He didn't finish his sentence. Vox already prepared a tablet and a tiny camera that clips onto the King's jacket.

"Not a bad idea." Husk grumbled. "This way we can see what's going on."

Vox held the tablet in his hands, not realising just how hard he was gripping it until the screen cracked. "Ah, my bad."

"You okay Big Guy?" Angel said. "You've been looking tense ever since we arrived."

Vox didn't respond. His chest felt awfully heavy, and he wasn't even sure why. It wasn't like Alastor was going to die. They have the literal King of Hell on their side! So why does he feel like he's suffocating to death?

"Vox. Calm down." It was once again the deep, gruff voice of the cat demon. Vox couldn't help but feel soothed hearing him. He understood why Husk was Alastor's favourite. Until he broke their contract.

"Vox? Vox." Angel said, waving his hand in front of his face. "Hey, wake up. What are you daydreaming about?"

Vox swatted the spider's hand away and walked away. He wasn't sure why he felt like he's drowning. He wasn't sure what his mind is trying so hard to suppress. He needs to concentrate. He needs to focus He needs to save Alastor. He needs to save Alastor. He needs to...

"...he could die." He whispered.

"What?" A newcomer said. Vox was too preoccupied to see who it was.

"Alastor. He could die..."

"If you're worried about him dying-"

No. Thats not true. Vox wasn't worried about Alastor dying. Quite the opposite. In fact, he was wondering what would happen if Alastor did die.

Ever since Vox fell into hell, Alastor had been engraved into his mind. All he could think about was Alastor. He thought about Alastor's smile and Alastor's laugh. When the two were together, Vox would gaze into the deer's eyes and never look away. When they weren't together, the only thing Vox would be wondering about is when they would meet again.

Then after Alastor left, Vox had grieved for something that wasn't even (double) dead. And that pain turned into anger. And that anger turned into pure hatred. And once again, Alastor was embedded into his mind. All Vox could think about was how much he hated Alastor. How much. he wanted him dead.
