14 - i miss you

It'd been two days since Michael left, and Luke never felt more lost.

He called and talked to Mikey every night, but he still felt empty and alone without his boyfriend there by his side. He knew Mikey was a big part of his life, but he didn't realize until now that he was gone that Mikey was, is, his whole life.

But it was only for a few days yeah? Luke was being childish and he knew it, but he couldn't help the constant aching in his heart that he felt when Mikey wasn't there. It wasn't like he couldn't talk to him, they spoke on the phone every night for hours, until Mikey was slurring his words together and couldn't stay up any longer, so Luke had to sing him a lullaby to help get him to sleep. Mikey said he loved Luke's singing voice, and that he should sing more often. It made Luke smile.

How could you possibly fall so deeply in love with someone in such a short amount of time?

He didn't know. It was perplexing. He sighed and got up off of his bed, reaching for his guitar. He'd been thinking about it a lot, and he wanted to write a song for Mikey. He sat it back down and began to strum a melody, thinking about his idea. He smiled. He knew just what to write.

That is, until he got the phone call.
