9 - see you at 7

Things between Luke and Michael had been going extremely well. Michael was beginning to understand the way relationships worked, and his feelings for Luke grew and grew every day. Finally, after talking to Michael's mom, Luke decided it was time to ask Michael out on a date.

(Luke's POV)

This is it. Today is the day I'm going to ask Mikey out on a date, a real date!

I wake up early and throw on regular old clothes and head over to Mikey's. I stand in front of the door, rubbing my hands together. This is it.

I go inside and up to Mikey's room as usual, to find him sitting on the bed waiting for me.

"Goodmorning Lukey!", he smiles, perking up when I walk in the room.

"Goodmorning Mikey.", I smile back, sitting across from him on the bed.

"Whatchya wanna do today?!", he asks excitedly.

"I actually have something very important to ask you Mikey.", I say, taking his hands in mine.

I stand him up and get down on one knee, still holding his hands.

"Oh gosh Lukey, you're not going to ask me to marry you are you?!", he gasps, his face turning pink and a giggle escaping his lips.

I look down at the ground and chuckle, before looking back up at him adoringly, "Not quite yet darling."

"Oh okay, proceed!", he nods his head, standing there all cute and somewhat seriously.

I smile up at him, and just take him in for a moment before taking a deep breath, and popping the question.

"Michael Gordon Clifford, would you like to go out on a date with me?", I ask, looking up at him expectantly.

"Would I?! Yes Lukey yes yes yes!", he shouts, smiling widely.

I smile too and stand to pick him up, twirling him around in my arms before setting him down and kissing him on the lips.

"I'll pick you up at 7.", I smile again, placing a kiss on his forehead.

"Where are you going?", he asks, furrowing his brow.

"To get ready for our date silly.", I say, booping his nose.

He smiles so big and hugs me tight. "I'll see you at 7 Lukey."

I kiss him one more time, "See you at 7."
