Just then Luke heard an innocent sleepy voice. "Please don't be sad Lukey.", as Michael wrapped his arms around Luke's waist, resting his head on his back.

"I'm going to go put up the groceries.", Karen smiled, winking at Luke. He smiled back smally, silently thanking her.

Michael pulled back from Luke, sitting beside him on the couch. Luke quickly wiped the tears from his eyes and took a deep breath in.

"What's wrong Lukey?", Michael frowned, resting his head on Luke's shoulder.

"Well Mikey.. Your mom told me what happened..", he said softly, scared to upset the fluffy haired boy.

"Oh.. I'm sorry Lukey, I understand if you doesn't want to be my friend anymore..", he heard the boys sweet voice crack, and Michael began to cry quietly.

"Mikey baby no, look at me please..", Luke began, turning to Michael and lifting his chin with his fingers.

"Don't ever say that okay? Not ever. I am never going to leave you Mikey.... I love you. I can't live without you.", Luke said firmly, tears forming in his eyes again. And he meant it, every single word. He loved Michael Gordon Clifford, with all of his heart.

"I love you too Lukey, you make me the happiest person in the whole wide world.", Michael said back, sitting in Luke's lap with his legs wrapped around the tall boy.

But Michael surprised Luke, kissing him full on the lips (a good kiss at that), and wrapping him in a hug.

Luke closed his eyes and smiled, resting his chin on the boys shoulder. Luke Hemmings was a happy boy.
