The woods smell foul. My nose twitches. It smells like blood. It smells like orcs. It smells thick like webs. I look around. I even see webs. The horses cry out as if to warn us about danger. Perhaps I was right to have been called.

"How long has it been like this?" I ask.

"It just started a couple of years ago. Ever since... the ring has been found." Radagast says.

"Is it Sauron?" Aragorn asks.

"No. I don't think so. Orcs never go this far. Something else is at work here." Radagast answers.

I look down. Should I have come back sooner? If this has been going on for a couple of years, why has Father not summoned me? A guilt feeling boils in my stomach. Gimli pats my arm. I look at him.

"The spiders come and go. They seem to be leaving messages." Radagast says.

"Messages?" Aragorn and I both ask.

"Oh yes. The webs have things in them. Weapons. Helmets, and other elven things belonging to the Woodland haven." Radagast says.

"Why?" Gimli asks.

"If I knew that, I wouldn't have chased you all the way to the sky." Radagast says.

I look down.

"Legolas?" Gimli asks me.

"I'm fine." I say.

"You had best me lad, we are approaching your father's keep." Radagast points.
