A Calm Moment

Y/N PoV:

After the attack, everyone had been on edge. Karl had weaponized the lycans, sending them to patrol around the village, while Salvatore had gone to stay with him and Ben, terrified to stay in the still mostly rotted reservoir alone. Donna had also moved in with Alcina for the moment, Rose sticking by her side at all times. When I had checked in with them, I had spotted a new maid, wearing a drama mask over their face. They had stuck near the Lady of the Castle, a small axe hanging from their belt at all times. They didn't meet my eyes, and I did my best to leave them be, which seemed to relax them. By the time I had gotten home, it was getting dark out, so I hurried inside, where I saw Salvatore laughing with Blossom at the table.

"Oh, h-hi Y/N!" He gurgled when he saw me, coughing up something into the trash. I looked at him in concern, feeling his forehead for a fever, or something similar to it. I frowned when his forehead felt hot, Salvatore normally being clammy.

"His mutation is acting up, before you get too worried, little one. He just needs his medication." Miranda's voice came from behind me, and she handed Salvatore a small brown paper bag.

"Twice a day, one in the morning, one in the evening, okay? And try to avoid the cheese for a little bit, it clogs up your system. The movies don't, though." Salvatore nodded, his ears becoming lighter at the mention of his fondness for cheese and romance movies, preferably paired together. I giggled a little, and he left a few minutes later, waving goodbye to us all. Soon after that, the masked maid from Alcina's stepped through the door, leading two maids in via a rope.

"For your experiments, Mother Miranda." Their voice was raspy, and they threw the two maids forward, only for them to get whisked away by a swarm of flies in seconds. I smiled when Bela came back and reformed into hugging me from behind, nuzzling my neck. The masked maid left, shutting the door behind them. I hummed, gently rubbing Bela's cheek, and Mia came in a few minutes later with a clipboard, humming to herself.

"Mia, you can stop examining the results. Our daughter is fine." Miranda cooed, pulling the brunette into a hug. Mia sighed, nuzzling into Miranda, setting the clipboard down.

"Fine... I just... Don't want her to get sick." Miranda kissed her head, hugging her close and smiling. We stayed like for a while, before we heard scuffling and looked to see Rowan and Blossom wrestling on the ground. We just stared for a few minutes until Blossom won, only by locking her thighs around their head.

"That's cheating on some level." I muttered, and the others murmured in agreement, Blossom getting up and extending a hand to Rowan, who started grumbling.

"Goddamnit, I liked that fucking view!" Everyone laughed, watching the married couple bicker for a few more minutes until Blossom just picked them up and walked away.

"See you all later, I'm gonna put the big baby down for a nap." We could hear Rowan yelling objections, only to get shushed. I smiled, nuzzling back into Bela, whose fangs were gently scraping over my neck. I shivered, but kissed her cheek, enjoying her coldness. Her hands started to roam, and held my moans in, feeling the other two's eyes on us.

"Go on." Mia purred, and I could tell Miranda was becoming one horny bird. Before things could escalate though, Chloe barged in, waving a trowel. Before I could register what was happening, she yanked me out the door, and I remember I had promised to help her with the flowerbed earlier that day. I sighed in annoyance at my past decision, the thought being banished by gloves hitting me in the face.

"Quit griping about the consequences of your actions and hop to it! We don't got all fucking day!" The agitated pumpkin and I got to work, getting the flower garden ready for winter. She occasionally told me stories about the "good old days", normally involving some kind of mafia shootout or bar fight. Sometimes, the stories seemed like a complete fantasy, including one involving a spider-human hybrid, a white-furred werewolf, and some kind of shark-toothed vampire with hellish mood swings.

"Craziest fucking bunch, let me tell ya! I ran into 'em... Oh, I don't fucking know, two or three decades back? At any rate, crazy ass bunch, looking around for their pal, a fucking vampire hunter. Now, back then, the whole world of monsters and such was kinda new to me, so I just laughed 'em off, until the purple spider motherfucker pulled off her mask and showed me those fucking eyes. I took 'em seriously then! Oh, and then there was that shit with the zombies-" Suddenly, the bell began to toll, and Chloe sighed, groaning as she stood up.

"Welp, there goes that afternoon. C'mon then, squirt, let's get you back to your bundle of lovers." She pulled me up, walking me back inside, yawning before hanging up her gloves. Before I could do anything, I was picked up by a swarm of flies and swarmed away, ending up on a bed with three very horny looking women staring at me hungrily. I let out a needy whimper, they smirked, and I knew I was in for a very, very long night.

Do my eyes deceive me? A new chapter? In under six months? Unheard of from me! In all seriousness, I actually have an idea for the remainder of the book, which surprised and slightly annoyed me, since I was writing an essay for college when my mind wandered back here, but it feels great to make some actual progress for this story! By the way, Ghost will be getting sort of a rewrite(At some point)! Pretty much everything before the Dark Souls shit starts will stay, and I'll keep a few bits, but for the most part, it'll get torn apart and put back together. At any rate, have a lovely day, and goodbye!
