The next few days were filled with laughter and planning. The group met at Divine’s house, surrounded by snacks and maps of the forest.
“Okay, so here’s the plan,” Divine said, pointing to the map spread out on the floor. “We’ll set up camp here by the lake, and then we can hike to the hospital next week.”
“I can’t wait to explore that creepy place!” Rhea said, her eyes wide with anticipation.
“Just remember, it’s not just about the ghost stories,” Tom said, playfully nudging Divine. “We’re there to have fun too!”
“And maybe get a little wild,” Bill added with a smirk, glancing at Jennifer.
“Oh, shut up,” Jennifer shot back, rolling her eyes but unable to hide her smile.
“Seriously, let’s make this trip unforgettable!” Gustav suggested, leaning back against the couch.
“Agreed! We’ll have bonfires, marshmallows, and late-night talks,” Divine said, her heart fluttering with excitement.
“Count me in for the marshmallows!” Tom exclaimed, raising his hand dramatically.
“Me too!” Rhea chimed in, laughter filling the room.
As they continued to plan, Divine felt a surge of happiness. This summer was going to be one for the books.
