the next day

divine is the first one to wake up, she gently shakes tom to wake him up

"It's too early" Tom said with a sleepy voice

Divine sighed and spoke "Babe! duh, it's the day! we're going to the haunted hospital"

The girl's voice was loud waking up the others..

*skip*

they're all eating and Divine decided to talk

"So everyone, get ready later ;) I'm so excited!!" Divine said with an excitement in her voice.

Jennifer spoke “Fine, but if anything weird happens, I’m blaming you!” Jennifer finally relented, rolling her eyes but unable to hide her curiosity.

“Great! It’s settled then!” Divine exclaimed, clapping her hands together. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as they began to plan their upcoming adventure to the hospital.

“Let’s make a list of what we should bring,” Rhea suggested, pulling out her notebook. “We’ll need flashlights, snacks, and maybe some protective gear… just in case.”

“Protective gear?” Gustav asked, eyebrows raised. “You really think we’ll need that?”

Divine laughed, shaking her head. “I doubt we’ll run into any real danger. But it’s always good to be prepared!”

Bill grinned mischievously. “Or we could just bring some sage and ward off any spirits!”

“Very funny, Bill,” Jennifer retorted, crossing her arms again. “I’m not superstitious, but I’d prefer to stay away from anything spooky.”

“Aw, come on! Where’s your sense of adventure?” Tom said, leaning closer to her.

“Yeah, Jen! You can’t back out now. You’re part of the crew!” Rhea added, nudging her playfully.

“Alright, alright! I’m in,” Jennifer sighed dramatically, but a smile crept onto her face.

“Perfect! It’ll be fun! We’ll explore, tell ghost stories, and just hang out,” Divine said, her excitement radiating off her.

As they settled back around the fire, the conversation shifted to lighter topics. They shared dreams of the future, laughed about the silly moments from school, and reveled in the warmth of friendship.

“You know,” Divine said, looking around at her friends, “this summer is going to be legendary. Just us against the world!”

“Absolutely! And with a haunted hospital visit to top it all off!” Bill replied, raising his cup in a mock toast.

They all joined in, raising their cups and laughing together, feeling the bonds of friendship growing stronger. Little did they know that their summer of fun was about to take a dark turn.
