The day finally arrived. The group gathered at Divine’s house, ready to head out. They piled their gear into Tom’s truck, excitement buzzing in the air.
“Who knew packing could be so much work?” Rhea said, her arms full of sleeping bags.
“Just think of all the fun we’re going to have,” Divine replied, her enthusiasm infectious.
“Yeah, and the ghost stories!” Georg said with a grin.
“Just don’t scream too loud when you see a ghost, okay?” Tom teased, wrapping an arm around Divine.
They all laughed, the tension of packing turning into excitement.
Once everything was loaded, they hit the road, music blasting through the speakers as they drove toward the forest. The sun was setting, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink.
“Is this real life?” Jennifer said, looking out the window. “I feel like we’re in a movie.”
“This is going to be epic,” Bill agreed, leaning back and relaxing into the seat.
