As Divine stumbled away from the hospital, her heart still pounding from the chaos inside, she suddenly found herself in the midst of a vast, dense forest. The night was dark, the only light coming from a faint sliver of moon peeking through the thick canopy overhead. Panic washed over her as she realized she was alone, separated from her friends, and the terror of what they had just escaped still hung heavily in the air.

Just as despair began to settle in, she heard a rustling behind her. The hair on the back of her neck stood on end, and she turned slowly, instinctively knowing that something was wrong. From the shadows emerged two hulking figures, their movements deliberate and unsettling.

Divine’s breath caught in her throat as she recognized the grotesque features of the men stalking toward her. Their faces were disfigured and torn, skin hanging loosely in sickening patches that obscured their eyes. One of them held an axe, its blade glinting menacingly in the moonlight, while the other gripped a chainsaw, its engine revving ominously. The sound echoed through the trees, sending a fresh wave of terror coursing through her.

“Run!” Divine screamed, her instincts kicking in as she spun on her heel, darting into the darkness of the trees.

She could hear them behind her, their heavy footsteps crashing through the underbrush, and the chainsaw’s roar was deafening. The fear that gripped her was unlike anything she had felt before; it fueled her flight, pushing her faster as branches whipped against her skin.

“Divine!” one of the figures called out in a distorted voice, mocking her with an eerie calm. “Where are you going?”

She didn’t dare look back. Instead, she focused on putting one foot in front of the other, desperate to put distance between herself and the nightmarish duo. The forest seemed to close in around her, shadows twisting in the corners of her vision, making her feel like she was being hunted.

But no matter how fast she ran, the sounds of pursuit grew louder, more insistent. The chainsaw sputtered, revving up again as if eager to find its mark. Each time she thought she might have gained some ground, she could hear the men growing closer, their taunts echoing through the trees.

“Don’t be scared! We just want to play!” one of them laughed, his voice guttural and sinister.

Divine pushed herself harder, fueled by adrenaline. She knew she had to find a way out, a place to hide, or a means to defend herself. But the darkness pressed in on her, and her mind raced as she scanned the area around her.

Suddenly, she spotted a fallen tree ahead. Without a second thought, she dove behind it, her heart racing as she pressed herself against the cold earth, hoping the shadows would cloak her from view. She held her breath, listening intently as the figures drew closer.

The first man, the one with the axe, came into view, his silhouette hulking and monstrous against the moonlight. “Where did she go?” he growled, searching the area with a cruel intensity.

“Don’t let her get away! She’s just a little rabbit!” the other one taunted, swinging the chainsaw menacingly. The noise was unbearable, reverberating
