Chapter 18: Unexpected Surprise Visitor
Aileen's POV:
While I was sleeping I heard the doorbell.
I looked over at the alarm clock.
11:32. Who would be here at this time? Everyone's got work tomorrow and why would they come here? I asked myself.
I got up and walked to the front door and looked through the eyehole.
"OMIGOSH!!!" I screamed as I quickly unlocked and opened the door.
..................It was................................................................................. Devon Hilt.
"Devon, what are you doing here and where'd you come from?" I asked him.
"From the sky." He answered pointing at the sky.
"Omigosh, come in Devon and I'll call your parents." I told him as he stepped inside.
I waited for them to pick up the phone and they finally did.
"Hello?" Mrs. Hilt said sniffling.
"I have your son." I said.
"What??? Who are you?" She asked angrily but worried.
"No, I mean your son is at my house. It's me Aileen. Do you remember me? I work with the FBI." I said.
"Oh, my gosh! You have him? Is he hurt?" She asked.
"I don't know. You should come get him though." I told her.
"Ok, thank you so much." She said crying loudly then hanging up the phone.
About 12 minutes later they were banging on my front door.
"Coming!" I said running to it.
"OH, WHERE IS HE???" Mr. and Mrs. Hilt asked.
"MOM!! DAD!!!!!" He yelled running into their arms.
"OH, HUNNY! WE MISSED YOU SO MUCH WE WERE SOOOO WORRIED YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!" She said kissing his head multiple times.
"I missed you guys too." He said muffled from his face being pressed into them.
"Thank you so much!!!!" Mr. and Mrs. Hilt said to me as they hugged him.
"It's just my job." I told them.
"How can we ever repay you???" They asked.
"No, you don't have to it's just my job." I said again.
"We will repay you. This is amazing how did you ever find him???" They asked me.
"He came to my front porch." I said.
"What? Devon how'd you find your way here?" They asked him.
He shrugged.
"I was put here. Someone threw me from the sky." He said.
Mr. and Mrs. Hilt laughed nervously and they each took him by the arm and walked him outside.
"Thanks again!" They said walking away.
"No prob." I said starting to shut the door.
"Mom dad it's true!! I came from the sky!!" He said as he walked with them to the car.
"Sure you did." His father said.
They got in the car and drove away.
