Chapter 23: Coming Home

(Pops POV)

"eh Hello?" I said on the other side of the phone, waiting for an answer. She answered me back "Hey pops, this is Riley." I laughed and asked "How did you know it was me calling?" She laughed over the phone and said "I know that accent, pops." I smiled and said "Listen Riley, I would love to catch up with you but time is short I have alot of meetings to attend to. My Caspian is taking over and he will need some help so I am promoting your father to a higher position and I need you to take his place. We need your creativity with us, and frankly my Caspian does as well. This transition has been really hard on him and I fear he wont be who he needs to be in the next two months, but maybe you can help with that. I know I am asking for alot, but we need you and it doesn't hurt to be around family."

She sounded very tempted and all she said was "I will think about it, I promise."

(2 months later)

(Riley's POV)

"Wow I haven't seen the beauty of New York in almost three years." I said as I breathed in the air surronding me. Jasmine smiled and said "I am happy to be back cuzzio." I hugged her and contuinied walking towards the black suv waiting for me. I was grateful that Pops allowed me to bring Jasmine along with me, she will be working as my assitant and we are getting an apartment here in NY. I know what your thinking, I skipped a lot of information so let me rewind a little bit..

After I got off the phone with pops I instantly called Jasmine and my other friend Bethanie to come over to see what they thought of the offer. I am not going to lie I was conflicted I had built a life in California, and leaving it all for the hope that Caspian and I can work things out? Well it wasn't really reassuring, espically after watching his interview on TV. It didn't match what his father was saying, and I wasn't going to chance it at first but Jasmine and Bethanie conivced me after hours and hours of aguring to accept his generous offer. Which I did, but with conditions. I told him I would only come to work for him if Jasmine could come with me and if he would still allow me to purse fashion on the side, and he agreed.

Let me be clear though, Caspian is not the only reason I came back. I came back because I missed my father and my sister Alexandra, I missed my grams and I missed some parts of my life that were in New York. I also promised myself that if I saw Caspian was healed and moved on, I would back off and leave us in the past and attempt to be friends. I wasn't going to let my own desires get between his relationship with his child, but I made a mistake three months. I made him choose, I didn't say what I should have. I should have said I love you and I will stay with you even though you got Jaceyln pregant, I should have told him I was willingly to see how we all could work things out. But I didm't, but when I see him that's going to be the first thing I do. Tell him how I really feel, pour my heart out to this beautiful deserving man...

Tomorrow was the grand event, Caspians grand opening to his new position. Everyone was coming to this huge event to congraluate him and see his plans for the future as the leader of the company. It was also the day I get to see him for the first time in three months, and boy was I nervous. My father was going to announce my return and new postion as the party as well because noone knew I was back, not yet atleast.

Jasmine and I brought our luggae with us to the car and the driver grabbed them from our hands and put them in the trunks. I got inside the car and smiled at Jasmine, it felt good to be here with her by my side. She grabbed my hand and I said "Were back home."

(Jaceyln's POV)

I looked at Caspians mom and said "I did what I had to do but I am indeed now two months pregant. I don't have to put up with the fascade anymore, it's real this time." She gasped and firmly said "Good we will have to give up the fake pills and actually get you real ones." I smiled and said "Yes you will, this turned out to go perfectly in my favor." She rubbed my belly and walked out of the room, before fully walking out of the room she asked "Is the baby my sons?" I laughed and smiled and said "Of course." She walked away nodding her head in approval.

But I was lying, it wasn't Caspians but it was close. I ran into his cousin Marco at a bar, and things happened and I thought it was very smart on my part so the baby could at least resemble Caspian. This was my way in to everything I ever wanted, tomorrow was Caspian's big day and now I have him for good with a real baby. The best part is noone knows, it's my little secret. I am sure Marco won't really be intuned to things because of his slacker issues, all he does is sit at home and drink.

I smiled at my belly which was now started to gain it's little pudge, and said "I am really pregant."
