Chapter 3: Messy

(Allan's POV)

I walked into the stuffy office and cleared my throat to catch her attention. She swiftly turned around in her black swivel chair, forcing her beautiful black hair to fall in her face. She quickly looked up and noticed it was me and said "Allan." I smirked at the sound of my name leaving her full lips and said "I didn't mean to startle you. Are you ready to leave?" She simply nodded her head and got up from her chair, she was wearing a tight black pencil skirt that hugged her hips in all the right ways. She was wearing a basic white tank top as well paired with a blue blazer. I examined her appearance up and down and noticed she looked different than our last few encounters, she looked like old Jasmine, colorful and free not strict and stuffy like she has been. I wonder when she decided to change the things I loved about her most, what happened in our two years apart from each other, how did she lose her light that use to shine so brightly? 

All these questions captivated me causes me to stand there frozen in my thoughts, Jasmine cleared her throat and said "Earth to Allan?" I quickly snapped out of it and said "My bad, let's go shall we?" Jasmine eyed me up and down with a look filled with concern, I placed my hand on her lower back and walked her out of her office.  The walk was silent until we arrived to the car, I had my black SUV waiting for us. Jasmine smiled and said "I've always loved this car." I simply nodded and said "I know it was always your favorite to drive." Jasmine smiled softly and got inside the car.

(Jasmine's POV)

I slide inside the car and sat right next to him, I could smell the strong cologne radiating off of his body. I tried to not to give it away that I was drawn to it but I guess I was failing. Allan noticed me sniffing him and said "Take a whiff if you must Mi Amour." I blushed and quickly took a big whiff of all his manly scent and let out a laugh. He laughed too and probably thought I was ridiculous, but it was fun to laugh with him. It reminded me of our relationship two years ago, when I felt happy and I laughed. Not saying I am not happy now, I just... It just feels different. 

The car ride ended abruptly and the driver said "Were here." Allan nodded and said spoke to the man in Italian, I got out of the car and found myself in front of a brand new building that was empty and still under construction. Allan slowly came behind me and said " I just bought this beauty, what do you think?" I smiled and responded "It has character, potential." Allan slowly got closer behind me and placed his hands on my shoulders causing a shiver to crawl down my spine and he said softly "It does, but it's a little messy for now."  My jaw dropped and Allan dropped his hands and simply walked into the building as if nothing was happening. 

I sighed in frustration and walked behind him, he took me up 19 floors and we finally made it to the 20th floor. I pressed my hands against a free wall and gasped for air, Allan just looked at me and laughed taunting me. I rolled my eyes at him and in attempt to hit him I ran towards him, before I knew what hit me I tripped over a piece of wood. Before I hit the ground and Allan caught me in his arms protecting me from this big fall I was about to face. I quickly opened my eyes to see his hazel orbs staring deeply into mine. He smiled at me and said "I told you wanted it messy." I quickly averted his gaze and in one moment he twirled me up and back on my feet. I gasped at how quickly he did this and I slowly gained my balance back and my control...

Allan smirked at me and said "Back to business" I simply nodded and continued on talking about his future plans with the building. Everything between Allan and I had left two years ago, I let it ago and I think he did too and now he was just getting back at me for doing it. I didn't believe he still possessed real feelings for me, I mean he had Hazel and I had Owen. Maybe things between Allan and I were just business....
