"Damn it! I knew I should've came out and did something!" Fliqpy yelled in Flippy's mind.

"I'm glad you didn't," he said to Fliqpy. "You just cause trouble."

"I SAVED YOU IN THE WAR, YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!" Fliqpy screamed.

Ignoring him, Flippy continued to drive in the rain.

Then he saw a red figure sitting on a bench on the side of the road. Flippy was curious to see what, or who, it was.

He pulled over to the side and rolled down the passenger window, and saw a red porcupine lady in a wet jacket. She was shivering violently

Flippy got out of his vehicle, picked her up bridal style, put her in the passenger seat, turned on the heat, and sped home.

He pulled up to the driveway. The redhead was still shivering.

Flippy put her near the fireplace and lit it. He took the soaking jacket off the poor, young girl. Then he wrapped her in one of his special wool blankets.

"Wh..where..where am I?" She said through her chattering teeth. "Who...are you?"

"I'm Flippy, miss." He replied. "You're at my place. I found you in the rain."

"My name is Flaky," the redhead said. "I was at the blind date program. No one wanted to get to know me. Except a guy named Disco Bear. I tried to stay away from him."

"What we're you doing in the rain?" Flippy asked.

"I was sleeping," Flaky said.

Flippy was surprised to hear this. This poor girl shouldn't be left alone, he thought.

Then he heard a stomach rumble.

"You hungry?" Flippy asked. "I know it is not mine."

Flaky nodded.

"I can make some soup in a can, if you'd like."

She nodded again, with a warm smile.

After she ate, Flippy finally said, "I have a spare bedroom for you. It's really pouring."

Flaky wasn't expecting to spend a night at her hero's house. So she said, "Thank you," and hugged him. Flippy hugged her back. He secretly smoothed out her spikes. Dandruff fell to the floor.

Flippy carried her to the spare bedroom. He pulled the covers over her.

"I can't sleep, Flippy." Flaky whimpered.

He had an idea. He went out the room and came back with a music box.

"This calms me down and puts me to sleep at night," Flippy said softly. He turned the dial.

The box played a sweet, calming lullaby. Flaky slowly fell asleep.

Flippy closed the door, went to his room, and went to bed.
