Splendid put Flippy to bed. Deeka brought her special tea to him.

"Drink this," she said. "You'll feel better if you do."

Flippy looked at the hot drink. The smell reminded him of the perfume Flaky wore on their first date. Flippy slowly drank it.

"Deeka, I'll let you handle him." Splendid said. "I need to do some chores."

After he left, Flippy said, "Will you tell me a story?"

"Of course," Deeka responded. She dimmed the lights and lit scented candles that smelled like cherries.

"There was once a girl I knew," she began. "She was so shy, that she almost never talked. But she loved her parents with all her heart, no matter the time or place or situation. Her mother and father loved her as much as she did. They always told the girl her love was the thing that kept the three of them together."

"On one Christmas Eve night, she decided to see what presents were underneath the tree. She went downstairs to just take a look. What she saw changed her life forever."

"What happened?" Flippy asked.

"Her mother and father's bodies were on the floor. Both had their throats cut open. A Tiger soldier had killed them. He stood over them, and saw the girl."

"This Tiger soldier wasn't like any other. He would kill a child's parents in cold blood. Then he would take a burning hot knife and put an 'X' on their neck so they will never forget what happened during their childhood."

"Did the girl live?" Flippy asked.

"Fortunately, she did." Deeka continued. "After the Tiger soldier left, she said goodnight to her parents and went to bed. When morning came, she came down. Green Berets had removed the bodies and were waiting for the girl. She opened her presents. And guess what?"

"What?"

"She said that it was the best Christmas she ever had, because she accepted what had happened. But one day, this girl will become a woman and seek revenge for other children's parents and her's. The End."

Before Flippy shut his eyes, he caught a glimpse of what looked like a burnt mark the shape of an 'X' on Deeka's neck.

"Don't worry, dear." She said. "We will get your girl back as soon as possible."

Deeka slowly walked out of the bedroom and quietly closed the door.
