"It happened in 1693," Russell began as he poured himself a shot of whiskey. He downed it with no problem.

Russell turned to the side. "There she was; quadrupled masted, triple decks, fifty cannons, and one hundred Pirate Saints on board, sailing across the rough seas." He said.

===========================

Year 1693

A fine ship sailed in the waves. The Pirate Saints worked hard to maneuver through them.

One of them, the captain, looked into his brass telescope.

All of the sudden, something catches his eye. He lowered the telescope.

"The Black Pendants," he said in his low, rough voice.

===========================

Russell turned back to Flippy. "Even the bravest sailor blood runs cold when his eyes lay upon that flag," he continued. "And the captain of the crew, Sir Ironbeard, knew he was going to fight to the death!"

He downed another shot. "But Sir Ironbeard was a Pirate Saint!" He yelled. "And Pirate Saints don't flee."

===========================

Cannons fire across the waves. It's not long before the ships meet.

Sir Ironbeard fired his pistol and swung his sword. He had the best shot and the greatest swordplay among his crew.

Then he saw someone swing from the Black Pendants ship.

===========================

"There he was," Russell said. "Like a evil ghost rising from the dead..."

"Who?" Flippy asked. He was curious of what was going to happen.

Russell stared at him. "I don't remember," he replied. Then he fell to the floor, snoring.

Handy walked up to him to pick him up. Then he remembered he doesn't have any hands and grumbles.

Splendid came in. He looked at the place.

"Let me take care of him," he said. He picked Russell up over his shoulder. "I found rooms for you all at the Tree. I'm going to take this one to his." Splendid flew away with the snoring pirate.

"Why does the story Russell just told sound familiar?" Lammy asked.

"He once invited us to his grandfather's place when we were all little," Petunia replied.

"There has to be more to it," Flippy said. "I hope there's a library or something around here."

"I'll come with you," Flaky said, holding on to his arm.

The manager returned with Giggles's credit card. Then he went back to his office.

"The rest of us will go to the Tree to get some rest," Cuddles told Flippy. "Don't stay too long there, you two."

Flaky and Flippy walked to the library. It took a while to find the book of famous pirate crews in the dusty building.

They flipped through the old book until they found the section containing the Pirate Saints and began reading.

Finally, it read, "The last words of Sir Ironbeard were, 'Only a true Pirate Saint will avenge my crew.'"

The couple looked at each other. "So his bloodline has been cursed," Flippy told Flaky.

I'm thinking about making another story with Flippy in it. He will have a different lover. She has an evil side, too. I won't release the name until Flippy x Flaky is finished.

Sorry for not keeping up the pace. Still trying to finish my next chapter.
