Flippy x Flaky

Chapter 14

The first thing that went through Flippy's mind was his Flaky.

"If you want to save your girl, LET ME OUT!" Fliqpy demanded.

Flippy let him take over. Fliqpy was now in control. He snatched the rifle from one of the guards and ran for the trouble.

When he arrived, Splendid was already fighting against the Tiger Soldiers.

One of them charged at Fliqpy. He shoved the rifle into the soldier's chest and pulled the trigger. Blood began to come out of his mouth.

Splendid yelled to him, "It's nice to see a battle buddy! Find the others!"

As Fliqpy took off, Splendid turned to see a almost-forgotten family member flying towards him.

"Splendont!" He said. "You here to help?"

"Actually," he said. "I'm working for the Tiger General. And I'm the one leading the assault!"

"But why?!" Splendid cried out. "We survived the nuclear blast together! And we trained together!"

Putting on a gas mask, his brother shot back, "Our father wanted YOU to be the hero of Happy Tree Town! NOT ME!"

Then Splendont pulled out a glowing nut.

"Kryptonut?!" Splendid said. "Where did you get that?!"

"A recruitment gift from the Tiger General," Splendont replied, crushing the metal into dust.

Then he threw it at Splendid's face, blinding him at first. Then he dropped to the ground, feeling weak and numb all over.

Walking towards him, Splendont pulled out a pistol.

"This is filled with bullets made out of our weakness," he said. "In just a few seconds, the hero of Happy Tree Town will be rewarded with a grave and a casket."

Splendid looked at his brother. "There's still two other people you will have to take down," he said weakly.

"Huh?"

"One is a Green Beret who excels in the field of combat. The other is a Pirate Saint."

Lowering the gun, Splendont said, "I'll save you for last," he said, aiming at his helpless brother's leg. Then he pulled the trigger. Splendid yelled out in pain.

Meanwhile, Fliqpy was searching for Flippy's friends while shooting and reloading.

He found Handy and Truffles first. They saw that it was Fliqpy.

"There's choppers coming from all directions!" Fliqpy yelled. "Where's everyone else?"

"Cuddles ran off with the girls," Truffles said. "The turrets all say, 'Offline'."

Fliqpy was feeling under pressure until Handy spoke up.

"Don't you guys remember?" He said. "I can fix anything!"

"You're an amputee, dumb-ass!" Fliqpy yelled.

Handy didn't grumble this time. "I'll tell you what to do if you listen," he said.

The three of them ran to the turrets' power source. Handy gave the Green Beret instructions. Soon the power came back and the turrets started firing.

As the choppers fled, Cuddles came sprinting towards his friends. He had a huge knot on the side of his head.

Flippy came back to consciousness. "Where are the girls?" He asked.

"The Tiger Soldiers knocked me out and kidnapped them," Cuddles replied. "I'm sorry guys,"

Flippy pulled out a combat knife and pinned Cuddles to a wall, holding the knife to his throat.

"Flippy! What are you doing?!" Handy cried out.

"If anything happens to my girl," Flippy said to Cuddles. "I'll let my other side kill you!" He let Cuddles go.

Then they remembered Splendid.

Splendid was where Splendont left him. His skin was peeling and rotting. They rushed to his aid.

"Not my childhood hero!" Cuddles cried out.

Splendid coughed. "Guys," he managed to say. "There are...a pair of...thieves...who know where...the are taken to."

The guys exchanged looks. Fresh on their minds were the only two ex-convicts in Happy Tree Town; Lifty and Shifty.

"Why should we trust them?!" Handy asked with anger. "One time, they stole my pick-up truck and trashed it! And I was held responsible."

"Because," Splendid wheezed. "They are traitors...of the...Tiger General."

"What did they do to become traitors?" Truffles asked in confusion.

"They...will...tell you themselves. All I know...is...they lost a sister...a few years ago."

"EVERYONE STAND BACK!" Toothy yelled out to them. He and Sniffles were sprinting with a cart and other medical people.

As they rushed Splendid to the medical tent, Russell came up to them.

"Arrgh," he said. "Our hometown hero has fallen. What should we do?"

Flippy looked at Splendid's aircraft. It was trashed.

"Let's find the twins," he said. "They must know where the Tiger stronghold is."

"First, I want an apology from them." Handy grumbled. "On paper."
