Chapter 24

One year ago

Cuddles was skateboarding on the sidewalk.

Cub peaked out of the bushes and saw Cuddles. He pulled out his slingshot, picked up a pebble, aimed, and hit Cuddles right in the eye.

Cuddles hit a tree. He looked at Cub. He was laughing back to Pops.

"NO!" Cuddles yelled.

"C'mon, dude!" Flippy said, playfully punching him in the shoulder. "This'll be practice to taking care of kids."

"He's the worst!" Cuddles said.

"That happened a year ago," Flippy said. "Cub is probably gotten more mature. And I heard he plays Call of Duty!"

"Fine," Cuddles growled.

"I'll see you two tomorrow morning," Pops said. "I have to pick my son up from daycare."

The next morning, Flippy and Cuddles drove to Pops' house.

Flippy ringed the doorbell. Pops opened the door and welcomed them in.

The place looked decent to Cuddles, but he was still mad at the fact that he had to babysit his worst enemy.

Cub came up to them. He was finishing off his candy bar.

"Alright, son." Pops said. "You be a good boy."

"Okay!" Cub said in his cute voice.

After Pops drove away, Cuddles took out his iPhone and started to play on it.

Cub went to his room and called out to them. They came to him. Cuddles looked up and dropped his device in amazement.

Cub had posters of Splendid and video games on his walls, comic books on his shelves, and a television with an XBOX One and a variety of games and movies.

"Cool!" Cuddles said.

Cub brought a comic book to him. Cuddles eyes widened. It was the Collector's Edition to Splendid's Intergalactic Adventure.

Cuddles finished reading it as soon as Cub started up his game system.

"I think he wants us to play Black Ops 3: Zombies," Flippy said.

They started the game. Cub was always with Cuddles whenever he needed to be revived. They got past wave 50. And it was Cuddles' first time getting the Ray Gun.

After the game was over, Pops finally came home.

"Bet you boys had a good time!" He said.

"Yeah," Cuddles said honestly. "He turned out to be the coolest kid I've known. Can we babysit again?"

"Sure!" Pops said. "My son will be glad to have you company him.

After leaving, Flippy's phone rang. It was Sniffles.

"Flippy," he said. "I've got some good news and bad news. Giggles, Petunia, Lammy and Flaky are back in their original forms!"

"What's the bad news?" Flippy said nervously.

"You'll have to see for yourself. It's Flaky."
